Yeah that totally tracks. I feel like the cocteaus were always better at sequencing than MBV (as much as I love MBV) at least in the unintelligible lyrics canon.
One of my favorite
fuck yeah
oh man:::::::so good. Yura Yura Teikoku’s one of those legendary groups that was in my periphery and took an insert credit episode co-sign for me to give a proper spin. Tim talks about listening to this song waiting for Brandon at a meetup in Japan (e.109) so I figured I’d bite and listen to this live record as my intro after satisfactory result pulling a similar move when I got into Swans thru their live Swans Are Dead Live '95-'97 (which- if you haven’t given that one a listen yet, I think it dwarfs a lot that gets more lip service). Whole album’s great, in any case. DARE DAKKE? to SHINNYU to NAI!! is such a killer run.

would recommend giving this a spin even if you just have a peripheral interest in black metal/extreme music.
i was predisposed to be a hater on this album but i really like the guitar tone on clairbourne practice. it feels so thick and chunky that i ended up liking it in spite of myself. haven’t heard any of the other songs tho.
Yeah I read the reviews and saw Los Angeles shoegaze. Then saw a few hundred k on TikTok, which is usually where I step off the bus but they got a few tunes.
love that they hid some of their most disappointed and self-lacerating lyrics inside a song that sounds like a warm blanket
u r correct to be.
Rockin Cruise rules.
Wispy, No Mercy may hold my heart and soul, but does it have Ripple in Still Water? no
