GOOD MORNING (what are you listening to) ☕

Was listening to my friend Nick’s new song Dismemberer today.

Sort of a weird start to the morning lol so pretty soon I went back to one of his older albums that happens to be my current favorite; it’s got an energetic rock sound that’s a little less heavy.

Might put on the newest Vampire Weekend album a little later but I’m not sure yet. Bouncing around.

That still house plants record that got really good press but is a little less shoegaze. Dry Cleaning have a similar vibe too

EDIT: it would seem MOH and I are engaged in parallel thinking

Saw Ted Leo last night for the first time ever. I’ve been trying to see him since I was in highschool in the early 2000s but he’s cancelled 3 shows on me. Was it worth it? No! I wish this was the 4th time I was seeing him.

The show was amazing! They are playing through Shake the Sheets in its entirety. It was a very formative album for me and it was a treat hearing it all the way through. If you can catch them on this tour, you won’t be disappointed.

I love that shake the streets record. I’ve always wanted to see him, I think I’m so attached to Tyranny of Distance, and it bums me out they don’t seem to play much of it.

I did some cleaning up for the “Best rock album of 21st Century” and moved all posts into the music - the topic topic. Please let me know if I missed something that should have gone there.

Enjoy your lazy Sunday morning music =)

If you’ve played the game it is a lovely experience to dive back in to the beautiful soundtrack. If you haven’t it can be enjoyed as is. Even outside of the world of Tunic, this is one of the best albums of recent years.

If you liked this I DEFINITELY recommend the full album. I find myself listening to it on repeat sometimes; I think the opening track summarizes it really well as a series of reflections from someone now a significant way into their transition reflecting on their journey and what’s changed.
