Goofy stuff from your life

at long last I am victorious in my four month battle with adidas customer service. I bought a part of not cheap (by my standards) shoes, but they shipped me an empty box. Or rather fedex delivered a package that contained an empty shoebox. The package was sealed and was left in a secure location, so it's basically a case of he said she said, with the implication being that I have the shoes and am lying about the box being empty.

But I fuckin sherlock holmesd it by finally getting them to check the package weight when it was processed by fedex. And guess what?

>

As I check the weight in the tracking number 612536187683, the weight that indicated in there is not supposed to be 1 lbs / 0.45 kgs, as for the shoes size it will be need to be heavy as for this issue is the good indications that there's no shoes in the package.

my big fella shoe size doesn't lie. EXONERATED

While walking my dog I noticed a weird Christmas tree decoration had been hung in a tree not at Christmas. I assume there is a story about why that has appeared in February but I'll never know. [upl-image-preview url=https://i.imgur.com/TljKO72.jpeg]

Maaaaaaan today I was at the Book-Off and the guy at the register next to me was selling a whole basket full of CDs. Selling to Book-Off is never the optimal way to sell anything, but his basket contained CD soundtracks to multiple different old games, including a couple of Gradiuses, a Street Fighter of some sort, and one of the pre-awakening Fire Emblems.

I had a weird mix of emotions, including: I want to just ask him if I can see what else is in there, I want to make him an offer for those CDs that he is currently finalizing his sale to Book-Off of, _and_ man I don't even think I have anything at home that plays CDs anymore, do I!?

@“whatsarobot”#p105926 you don't own a PC-Engine CD, a Mega CD, a PSX, a Saturn, a Dreamcast, a PS2, an Xbox, a 360, a PS3, an Xbone, a Series X… or, like, a CD-i???

@“whatsarobot”#p105926 I‘ve done this in the US - in Japan I wonder how that’d go though… I sure would've been tempted

@“connrrr”#p105933 correct!

@"exodus"#p105950 I did it once in Canada, and that’s how I wound up with a Game Gear and a bunch of games!

anyone else hyper vigilant about typing “Good morning” in work emails? Too many close calls almost hitting send on “goof morning”. They should relocate the F key

@“yeso”#p106060 I‘m not sure I’ve ever typed good morning to anyone, I never know when they‘re gonna read it, or what time zone they’re in!

how cosmopolitan

@“treefroggy”#p106101 hey it's 7:30 AM for me! thank you for this nicely-timed goof morning.

the cause of my anxiety is when my coworker mis-spelled Bobby as Booby and it was seen by many, many people incl Bobby aka Booby

Nobody has ever remembered my name at any job I've ever had or ever learned how to pronounce it, so I tell them to just call me froggy.

@“yeso”#p106104 i lol'd at this, and have a similar experience with a coworker named Billy (Belly).

I had a goofy and cute interaction with a Canada Post worker delivering something to my door the other day who was also named Connor, spelled the same way as me. He was like “You know when someone spells it with one N, or an E?” I was all “agh, I hate that. It's a lifelong problem.” I'd only ever had that sort of interaction online before.

@“connrrr”#p106116 Did you remember to mention Con Air?

@“connrrr”#p106116 your shenanigans are the reason we need mod approval to change usernames

@“IncompatibleKaiser”#p106118 ughhh, or John/Sarah Connor every time a new Terminator thing comes out?

@“yeso”#p106119 I was inspired to do it by you yeso, you're a trailblazer <3
