Somehow missed the lithium rechargeables discussion but immediately ordered those gigastone ones. My Neo Geo Pocket Color gets a lot of use but NiMH batteries aren't a good match for the voltage-sensitive IPS mod. It tends to fail to initialize on about half-charge batteries which feels like such a waste of perfectly good batteries. Glad to see an alternative.

@“exodus”#p78416 We bought this house in 2017 and I went through a pretty intense planning stage before we moved in. The den and office has been setup in a way to could keep the “gameriness” to a minimum for guests or watching a movie. The Serial Experiments Lain-esque nightmare is hidden in my office on the other side. I swap HDMI cables like a switch board operator, but it ensures 0 headaches with HDMI and a clean den.
The retro games area has grown as I keep adopting CRTs, but everything is accessible with the push of a couple buttons. What you see in the pics is a bit staged, but pretty much how it usually is. The 32 incher gets the most action

I‘m about to build custom shelves to line all the walls in the entirety of my office… I think that’ll do it… for some of them…………………………………. but where do my records and tapes and CDs go and etc etc. This is something I wouldn't mind being rich for so I could just hire a friend to work it all out.
I guess one game from my collection I can show off is my launch day copy of God Hand with receipt. I kept the receipts for everything I bought cause I'm from the mid-west. This was the store I worked at (it no longer exists).

@“exodus”#p78439 I lined my walls will shelves, sometimes two levels worth. Also, any physical games I re-buy a digital copy of I put into a storage bin the closet for a hard backup copy. Our house is over 2500 square feet, but I live in Ohio where ample room is… ample. I did grow up in a small house that was around 750 square feet with my 2 older sisters and parents, so maybe I'm just good about being a pack-rat and thinking vertically.
