@donrumata#24856 Wow that looks fantastic—colors seem nice and vivid. The unit is in great condition, this thing looks like it was manufactured yesterday!
@kory#24857 This one came with the box when I bought it actually. What I didn‘t mention is that this was a Final Fantasy edition before I replaced the lens, so unfortunately it isn’t quite as stock as I'd like it to be. Vastly more playable though, the OG color screen suuuuuucks.
@donrumata#24856 Where did you order it from. Cause that sounds like a mod I can do. I also really need to get a new power button membrane.
@robinhoodie#24861 I went through flashmasta because they‘re reselling them and I know that dude is reliable. He’s not making them but he made the flashcart I use and got it to me in 3 days so I‘m not complaining. My power button isn’t doing too hot either. Might put in an order for some new membranes and a glass final fantasy lens to get it looking a little more stock.
@antillese#24803 You've started a journey.

@hellomrkearns#24870 That is a beautiful photo, and your point is valid. OEM power bricks are often gorgeous and just as much a part of the console and its image as anything else! I‘ve eliminated all my original bricks in favor of a single high quality power supply, one day I’ll make it match the aesthetic, until then it's just 20 awg speaker wire leading from the fusebox of my solar battery, going into a 9V regulator.
@donrumata#24865 Yeah I have the original Wonderswan Flashmasta and the NGPC one to. Cool I will follow up on that.
@hellomrkearns#24870 Oh boy, I LOVE system link games, but I just can't go in for Zero Tolerance, it is so janky. The system link is by far the most impressive part.
@robinhoodie#24880 How‘s that WS flashmasta working out for ya? I own a Neo Flash Masta and it’s juuuust barely good enough for me. WS Flash Masta, on the other hand, sounds like it can‘t play 75% of the games I want to play on it, so I’ll wait for something better.
@treefroggy#24890 Neo Flashmasta I basically made into my ENG patched Card Fighters 2 / Rockman Battle cartridge as those are two I don’t own and having them in English certainly helps. The Swan FM I only got limited use out of as the Swan Color I have has such a dim screen it wasn’t much fun to play. I’m hoping the new screen and new power button get the system (which only cost me like $20) up and running in a more viable state. I dunno, the Swan isn’t as much a novelty own for me as my N-gage, but really the thing I most imagine I will actually play on it is the Final Fantasy Legend 1 remake. Love that game.

This is all coming from someone who still plays pretend with my mini figures as though I were a five year old. What mini figures I’ve decided to keep, that is.
I wanna reiterate that still, to this day, this is the only way to have the crossover of your dreams. thanks for reminding me it's high time I pulled out and played with some of the figs I had put away. I was ecstatic to discover I still had these mother 2 figures.

Somewhat embarrassed by the improper lighting of these photos, but I had fun playing with them just now and that's what really matters. :j
I like to imagine D&D campaigns with this guys.
@robinhoodie#24896 Cool! My NFM got most of its use so far with Sonic Pocket Adventure and Ganbare Neo Poke-kun, the latter of which being a holy grail of mine I wanted to play since I was a kid when I first saw it in a magzine. After that I decided to take a break to try out other stuff, like the Ogre Battle game for NGPC. I had all the usual games for my NGPC as a kid, and beat quite a fair sum of them!
For wonderswan though, I totally agree on the SaGa remake, it‘s so cool that it’s the only 16bit remake of those gameboy games I know so well! There‘s a larger library of epic titles I can’t wait to try like Makai Mura / Ghosts n Goblins, Chocobo Mystery Dungeon… I‘m pretty sure Makai Mura still doesn’t work on the FM though!
I actually just ordered a stock WSC today! My original WS has only been used to play Digital Monster WS version…
PlayStation SCART cable arrived <3<3<3

@kory#25047 #CRTSunday
@kory#25047 That's dope, MM8 is my favorite, love the music and everything about it, I have so much nostalgia for it, and playing it in RGB for the first time was pretty awesome for me too.
Gotta say it hurts seeing speakers in contact with a PVM though. Put them at least one foot away to avoid damaging your set over time!
@treefroggy#25091 Oof, thanks for the tip! They have been relocated–sorry I‘ve been out of the CRT game for long enough that basic electron gun hygiene is not second nature any more. I remember the amazing display of colors when I took a magnet to our family’s TV when I was a kid…followed shortly by the feeling of dread when they didn't go away (at least not for a while)
@kory#25104
Haha yeah I was gonna mention something too. If they're shielded its probably fine but best to double check!
Looks great though!!
I have an AV Receiver with a giant toroidal power supply that takes up half the case and I'm terrified to put it anywhere near my CRT, shielding or no shielding!
@kory#25104 MANY CRT users actually wouldn‘t warn you of that, most people who are into CRTs know very little about speakers. I’ve done my own experiments– also it helps that my dad is an artisanal speaker maker. surprised that @milo was gonna say something too. often times in the hardcore CRT community, I‘m the only one telling everyone to move their speakers– and usually being told to **** off! "they’re shielded“ …. well okay …. I think it just looks bad too. It's like having your baby beside a knife rack ”the knives are all sheathed!“ … okay …. If your speaker magnet is big enough, it will go through the shielding. over time, any magnetism will cause the CRT to ”get used" to it, and when you take them away, you may have some issues which might not appear for days.
It‘s not surprising, but pretty annoying when I’m in a discord full of electrical engineers and others who contribute hardware R&D to the retro gaming scene, and none of them know jack smack about speakers. lol.
