@LeFish#25712 I was able to snag the purple Super NT the other day, and I swear during the order process it mentioned they’d be shipping within a week.
My minisforum PC hasn‘t shipped yet, it’s been delayed overall many times, but they‘re saying they’re ready to ship now…… Damn!

This PS2 memory card I ordered came in a weed bag :’)

@sabertoothalex#25852 A nickel bag of memory.
@tomjonjon#26005 I’m surprised with all the talk about paddles on the podcast this didn’t come up earlier! I had been meaning to add it to my list of cool DS GBA slot cartridges.
@treefroggy#25550 agree, i think some have bad caps or something though
I've made it! Hahahaha

If you wanna really go nuts and play some of that PCE stuff properly on that Wii, let me point you towards https://archive.org/details/wii_vc_pce_240p
@robinhoodie#26277 I got all them stuffs but not these! Thank you!
@KennyL#26279 I have NO idea why of all things the PCE games are NOT in 240p. Allowing for 240p is what makes the Wii secretly and an amazing console for emulation.
@robinhoodie#26281 I just softmodded my Wii and 240p composite looks amazing. 240p test suite never looked so good on my crt haha. PCE games look cleaner then real hardware even on Wii Retroarch so can't wait to try those VC wads.
@KennyL#26282 The Wii RetroArch is MIGHTY. It takes some fiddling, but you can get Neo Geo and CPS2 stuff running on there and looking AMAZING. I feel like the Konami arcade stuff of that era also works. I bought a bunch of PS2 arcade stick to Wii mote adapters once I figured all of that out.
The sticks, WonderSwans, CRTs & Tamagotchis in here are making it harder for me to not fill my apartment with junk, but making it gooder for my eyes.
My little CRT came from the last yard sale I went to in the old world, late 2019. This incredibly customized '70s home in Van Nuys, sunken living room, shag, fully wood-paneled built-in entertainment console, river rock in the kitchen, the whole deal. Turns out the home was owned by an indie country music DJ, whose studio was the most pristine garage I have ever seen. I would live in this garage, every cabinet varnished & labeled, Zagat-level sink. Four or five decades' worth of AV equipment in catalog condition. My friend Eliot lent me $5 to buy this Trinitron, which sat in the closet until quarantine.
Modest in comparison, but now it's on the start of a one-bedroom-apartment-friendly setup with a Genesis Model 1, a region-unlocked NES & some Koss Portra Pros, calling out for a PC Engine:

(& the Van Nuys house got full-on gutted into a post-Silver Lake McMansion)
@fetus8#25741 I‘ve been pleasantly surprised that mine has been shipped but also moreso that it’s arriving Monday by noon (though I suppose for $50 International shipping it better be fast). Hoping I don‘t get massively stung by import duties but I’m not optimistic.
I've been scouring eBay to put together a curated list of Super Famicom games; some will be brand new to me and others are favourites that I want to play through in Japanese but I've so far got Shin Megami Tensei 2, Tokimeki Memorial, Wonder Project J, and Dragon Quest 1+2 all on the way. I'm very excited about it.
@LeFish#26641 that’s pretty incredibly fast shipping for international. Mine is showing an estimated delivery for Wednesday this week, and I just took standard shipping but I’m in the US.
@tokucowboy#26295
Man that is a cool trinitron with those embedded speakers. What kind of headphones you got there?
@fetus8#26689 Yeah, very surprised by how quick it is. I‘ve had to pay for £40 duties and handling which is neither great or unexpected, but from the tracking number I have it’s chilling in Stansted Airport so it could well be here tomorrow.
Unfortunately my place is a bit of a building site at the moment so won't be able to show off for a wee while.
@milo#26692 Ah, thanks, I was really lucky to come across it a little before prices/awareness started to rise. The headphones are Koss Porta Pros – don't know if they make the beige colorway anymore, but I love them a lot.
And hot damn at that Altered Beast cabinet.
@tomjonjon#26005 can't remember the last time i immediately went from not knowing something existed to NEEDING it
