@antillese#11788 I guess I’ll get back to work on my “Toilets of Midgar” post that I promised.

_**Starcraft_Firebat_You_Got_My_Attention_Sound_Effect.mp3_**

I don't post super often but I do lurk a lot, and I have to echo the sentiment that reading all of your posts here has been my Internet highlight of the year (and probably the past… five, lol).

I'm a baby and came of age after the heyday of Internet forums—I thought talking about video games online was something necessarily caustic and terrible and just a race to accumulate points. Coming here reminds me (or, more horrifying to consider, _teaches_ me!) that informed, conscientious, socially aware adults can get together and talk about whatever "video games" are (as @Gaagaagiins rightfully questions) in a way that's sometimes thought-provoking and often just plain fun!

Forum Friends near and far, I wish you all the best this year and onward. Peace :)

The love you all have for this show and this community means a lot to me. Thank you all for coming along with us each week.

The guests have been a highlight of the show and we have Brandon to thank for inviting each one to join us and arranging our schedules. I'd like to thank him for that right here, and for reaching out to me again for the revival after 6 years away from the show. We have exciting plans for 2021!!! The one I can share with you right now is: continuing to do the thing.

Insert Credit is the only website I visit. I didn't even realize places like this were still possible. I feel like I was born here. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!

Thanks everyone for joining in! I have made my duty to like every message left in this thread, keep it on.

Something I left without saying on my first message is that I would personally like to thank Brandon and Esper for their participation on the forums and the way they interact with everyone (if I don't thank Jaffe, Frank and Tim is because I'm not 100% sure if they are registered?). My first memory here is joining in some conversation and start rambling randomly about Flower, Sun and Rain. Someone asked me if I would like to talk some more about the game, and that someone was Brandon Sheffield in the flesh! Of course, I only realized after the fact and felt like apologizing when I introduced myself properly on the designated thread for that. It was fun for me because just a couple of days ago I had been checking the megabundle itch did in the context of the racial protests in USA and Gunhouse was one of the games that caught my attention from that, so it was like wow, I talked to the cool person that made this game! And then realized that the forum itself was full of Cool People (😎).

That's something I really like from this place because in other communities I have been there is this element of competitiveness and friction for attention within the space, people trying to establish hierarchies and struggling to be the coolest or most relevant one (which is something that the current culture of liking/disliking stuff enforces, I feel). But people here don't care about that, we just enjoy hanging out and having a space to reflect and talk about the things we enjoy, which feels very casual but at the same time encourages thoughtfulness in a gentle way, making people try to add to the conversations and put some effort in the way they engage with everyone else, which is something I think it's really nice.

When I apologized for not realizing it was him Brandon replied that it was cool that we were able to interact without preconceptions, which is something that struck me as a surprisingly humble and nice thing to say to a stranger over the internet, and it's a thing that has stayed with me, for some dumb reason.

@antillese#11788 Same here for Belgium

I like insert credit too and I hate the internet otherwise to be honest. I appreciate the martial discipline of the show. Also like white text on dark field forum look, very peaceful thank you

@JoJoestar#11837 Jaffe is very much registered and active in this forum. he might even be someone in this thread!! (i won’t say who in case he's trying to conceal his identity or something lol)

@espercontrol#11909 Judging by the responses here I guess he must be Gorblax? Well that's neat!

EDIT: the bio on his profile is "I'm the host of the show" so no concealing there lol

I listened to every single episode of Insert Credit after hearing Tim mention it in one of his videos. There were large chunks of my summer that were “playing X game while listening to Insert Credit”

Such games include:
Final Fantasy 4
Xenoblade Chronicles
Ratchet and Clank
Dragon Quest V
Driving a _real_ car

And now it has become one of the pieces of my Tuesday routine. If its up on that Spotify, there are some days when I put it on before I've even started brewing that first cup of coffee. Insert Credit in the AM, Mega64 in the afternoon. It's been something to look forward to beyond just meandering through teaching high school _online_ and playing an aggressive amount of video games while cooped up inside.

So, I guess I owe thanks to everyone - Alex, Frank, Tim, and Brandon - thanks for helping prop me up during the shutdown and beyond. And here's to the hopeful long future of the show and the forum.

On that note, I'm off to go.....burn some PC Engine CD titles....oops

I write agonisingly slowly so I don’t post a lot, but I’m really happy that the forum is back. not many people in my day to day life share my niche-ish interests so it's cool to have a place like insert credit to hang out

it would be hard to count how many hours i've spent with this podcast the last few months. I truly love it <3

I haven't had a lot of time to invest in hanging out in the forum, but I really appreciated the bit of lurking I did. Hanging out more over here seems like a nice Video Game Related Resolution for 2021 :)

Looks like it's that time of the year again!

Not everyone celebrates the holidays, but I do keep feeling across the years that insert credit is something to be celebrated and appreciated.

I checked and apparently I joined the forums in June 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic. A lot of stuff has happened since then, some of it good, a lot of it bad, but throughout of all the noise and chaos these forums keep holding on as one of the few places where not only I feel safe, supported and understood, but also, intellectually challenged, amused and surrounded by a bunch of the best people I've ever met on the internet.

Thanks to everyone for making an active effort in making the internet a better place, and this place one of the best among the internet. Thanks to all the cast (@"esper"#11, @"Jaffe"#205, @"exodus"#3 and everyone else) for all the company while doing all sorts of things when listening, to @"shane"#2 and everyone involved on the technical side, and @"Syzygy"#279 for his absolutely excellent work in moderation.

insert credit is pretty alright

Forums.insertcredit.com is the best web destination. The podcast is the best podcast. Thank you to all involved!

LOL @Salloumi

Just had a phone call with someone that made me so annoyed and after reading some of the Good Posts on forums.insertcredit.com I feel a lot calmer and ready to enjoy the rest of my day. Thanks all.
