infinite thread on threads in Infinity Nikki

anyone else playing that Infinity Nikki game? I’m seriously loving it and hope it overtakes all other gacha games cause it’s just so good!!

if you haven’t played or seen here’s the elevator pitch:
botw inspired 3d platformer exploration game with a major focus on dress up mechanics
because of that you can make some incredible outfits

Even the NPCs are stylish!!

my favorite so far is this final fantasy protagonist type named Bettina

there is a limited sort of multiplayer, you can upload your pictures in game and it sets down an item other players can interact with to take pictures together but it’s sorta jank !
would love to see others outfits if they’re playing this game otherwise I will update this thread as I get new beautiful fits kthxbye

I’ve been enjoying Infinity Nikki a lot, thanks for calling it a BotW like and not… a genshin like. I love how chill it is, and the fact that you just walk around, groom animals, catch bugs, fish and from time to time throw balls at enemies.
My current outfit is excessively boring, but i like thinking that Nikki is just camping so she has just some jeans and blouse. I’m looking forward to more glasses, the current frame she is using rn is cute but i would like more variety.

Oh hey! It’s my people! I wish I was better or cared more about taking photos but I still feel like I’m too early in the game to have enough pieces to create interesting outfits. But here’s what my girl looks like now
I will say though that this game soft won me over in the opening minutes when I saw I could change my skin color. Didn’t expect that and was pleasantly surprised!

I apologize for my bad taste but the guard outfit you get is too cool, so now i’m one of the guards. I just changed the hairstyle, glasses and earrings and i’m set to adventure. I wish this game had more pants.

They just have 3 skin tones (or i guess 4 since one is like very pale compared with the default) but it is a very nice addition.

How does Infinity Nikki compare to Fashion Dreamer? I thought that game was really cool and expressive. It was really focused in on what it was trying to accomplish and did it successfully.

My impression of Infinity Nikki is maybe it’s a little more all over the place as an experience? How do the free to play elements affect it?

I can’t speak about Infinity Nikki vs Fashion Dreamer as I have not played that game. But I found the mtx elements of Nikki to be mostly ingorable in favor of all the ways you can earn clothing in game. Not to self promo or anything but I did write it up over the weekend that best explains my thoughts. It’s really good!

I gave it a whirl the other night for a few hours and enjoyed the open world and just overall how chill everything was. Microtransactions felt like an easily avoidable aspect and just going adventuring with my catdude was a treat. The only thing that sorta bothered me is how your outfit changes when using the double jump or the purification attack. I havent played a lot so I dont know if theres a way to change that but it would be nice if you could turn that off. Not a huge deal, but it just felt a bit unnecessary.

Fashion Dreamer is a blind spot and I haven’t played much of the Style Savvy series either even though I really should!

While there are style battles similar to something like Pokemon (you meet a rival stylist, they say a theme, you make an outfit with that basis) and there is even a faction like system where you can defeat every member in a stylist group, its pretty simple. The microtransactions are easily ignored, and you get a ton of free pulls just by playing the game.

If anything the most problematic element of the game to me so far is just HOW BIG IT IS
I cannot understate how Full of Stuff this game is! The map is dense with lil korok puzzles and random sidequests ranging from taking pictures of enemies, fetch quests, I Spy puzzles, mini games, platforming challenges, and I Spy puzzles in the 3D overworld ! There’s a ton to do and the story is LONG and while its really stupid (wishes are a major motivation in the plot and tangible thing in the game world) it has a ton of cutscenes with voiced dialogue, unique dungeons, and is constantly propelling you into new environments with new plot beats.

I really like it so far! It’s very fun riding a bike around collecting lil shiny bits. I also find it a little annoying how you change your costume for every unique verb but it is also super funny watching you change for every double jump!

Infinity Nikki is still new, so the more nefarious stuff, I imagine, is pretty tame for now in order to build up a large player base. This is how it always works with these types of games. So, the time to play is now!

I’m really interested in playing this, but will need to play on PC and might not have enough time in between everything going on for me right now. Please share your best fits! I’m excited to see them

infinity nikki wasn’t playing nice with the heroic launcher on my mac, and there’s too many pictures taking up storage space on my phone, so i downloaded the game on my 2018 ipad; i got through the tutorial, and then the game proceded to crash. i tried logging back in, and it crashed again (and the next two times i tried)
welp

these were from the timed event a few weeks ago

also a really cute recurring puzzle they throw around are these forced perspectives where you try follow a prompt

I will not lie I have been following this guide when I get stumped
oddly indepth and a lifesaver to have a written, well organized guide like this with pictures not videos!!

Guides writers are the load bearing pillar of modern video game journalism and they do not get nearly enough credit (or pay) for what they do!

I downloaded this game when I came out but I haven’t played it yet. It seems like a fun way to spend a snowbound week at home. The curse of owning a rear wheel drive truck isn’t too bad when you’re also lazy

omg i’ve been playing this game obsessively but i’m going so, so deep into side questing and whimstar hunting and group photos and the timed events, so i’m slow on the main quest and only just met bettina last night and i am very very psyched to learn more about her. absolutely massive game

got a cute shot of the timed event outfit on the timed event blue crane!

another minor quest? mechanic? system? is that there are all kinds of important set pieces that the game will give you a ping about to take a picture, this is of the Ancient Tree Swing but there’s 40 of these around the world and each time is a fun opportunity to pose for a picture!
