@antillese Yo! That sounds rad. Is there a way I can send you the original digital file?
@biff_stallion my email is in your PMs. And she’s working on it!
And my own June submission is *not* going well but I’m going to push through it because that’s the point. So if anyone else is struggling, I feel your pain. What you need to do is recalibrate your own inner expectations and realize that making something new that you worked on is good in and of itself.
And if all else fails, you can get your daughter to color someone else’s submission and ride her coat tails! 🙃
Ooohhhkayyyy, so DJ Tentmode is on hiatus this month I guess. A combined sense of composer‘s block and also prioritizing some other things in life means that if you get a Slow song, you’re going to have to be even more patient.
I'm mixing it up and submitting these two miniatures I painted over the course of June. They are from the [Infinity ](https://infinitytheuniverse.com/games/infinity) tabletop game which I've been playing and painting for a few years depending on how you count with pandemics and such. I have a personal rule that I generally don't put a model down on the table unless it's painted which keeps me from hording new models. They come as an un-assembled kit and you need to spend some time filing and sanding and cleaning up injection mold flashing and parting lines before you can superglue them together and then paint them up.

I'm particularly proud of the shading which I think turned out pretty good and the weathering effects.
In-game, these are reasonably inexpensive (in terms of point cost) highly-maneuverable weapons platforms you use for area denial. Good for preventing your opponent from getting to the objectives on your side of the table or for covering your back line. They can often be specced with "repeaters" which extend the range of your team's hackers (... basically wizards). They are from the Nomads faction which are a faction of semi-anarchists who are affiliated by their absolute hatred and distrust of the rest of humanity's artificial intelligence: Aleph. So they're a very Insert Credit faction. 😋
These took most of the month to complete, so I think they're slow.
I also completed my 💯 mile "Century" bike ride on the 19th and averaged 14.2 MPH in the saddle. Also not exactly fast.

I’m adding a piece that I showed on the twitter a few weeks back as my re-entry (hopefully) into insert credit communal life. I did the underdrawing for this in pencil from life on a slow, gentle hike. I then painted it using a photo for color reference over the course of a few days. It is water color and pencil on cold press watercolor paper
@fridgeboy this is so pretty!! I love it
Also this reminds me i have to create this month's art jam thread! I'll do it tomorrow.
@穴 thank you! Yeah I snuck in under the wire.

SLOW 2022 07 26 (aka. The Turtle Eats Hair)
by beets macBeeter
video recording (2022)
>
The second piece in macBeeter's maze series, he has used video software to record the process of a generated maze. The video shows a 100 by 50 grid being generated into a maze and then solved in a seperate process. In this recording we see an evolution of the previous work, what was once a bichromatic affair has added two new colours: cyan and yellow.

macBeeter has stated he was feeling “antsy” and “late to the party” while creating this work. The official title, SLOW 2022 07 06, is likely a reflection of this feeling or a self critique. When asked about the meaning of the alternative title, he brushed off the question and said “I wanted to show how the sausage was made”.
I waited until halfway through August instead, so I suppose I have been quite slow indeed. Realisation of the long game can be had over in August's purple jam.
