Insert Credit Art Jam 2.0 X Monthly Game Club | March 2023 | Xanadu Next

_WHAT IS THIS? A CROSSOVER EPISODE????_ -

_**To those new to the concept:**_
A monthly event in where the ever-growing Insert Credit community can come together and create art based on a rotating topic! First created and hosted by @"SuperEffective"#337, now taken over by me. Everyone is welcome to participate and create whatever they consider art. Every possible medium and art discipline is welcomed here. Go wild! Show us your hidden or not so hidden talents!

Here’s the original premise @"SuperEffective"#337 wrote:

This is not necessarily a contest, but more like a weekly monthly art challenge/show-and-tell. The plan is to introduce a new prompt every Sunday the first day of each month to make a piece of art to. To participate, you can simply post anything from a drawing, sculpture, crochet, animation, writing, a sick beat, heck, why not even a cake! You can post whenever you’re finished, and I’m sure none will mind if you’re a bit late as this thread is all in good fun. Heck, if you’re loving the prompt, post more than one! Send any suggestions you think would be fun to do in the next week, if you have any fun ideas!

This month, I decided to try something new and use this Month's _Monthly Game Club_ game as a prompt! I figured since a bunch of us are going to play through _**Xanadu Next**_ this month, maybe some people would be inspired to make some art about or related to it. I don't think this will be like a permanent crossover, but having some Art Jam months crossover with the Monthly Game Club in the future could be neat.

Also shoutout to @"Brett"#1504 for organizing the Monthly Game Club! It was a really neat idea and I'm really excited to start playing Xanadu Next probably today.

I‘ll have to muster the courage to effectively convey Dvorak’s stately mustache

In case of those who want to contribute but are not joining in on the Monthly Game Club, rejj found the manuals with all sorts of great original illustrations:

This is such a fuckin good idea

Simply playing the game on an NGage would qualify as performance art. I can’t wait!

I never expected my shitpost to result in fan arts! So cool! I love that Xanadu fever is capturing the imagination of this forum.

@“Tradegood”#p106994 I love that Xanadu fever is capturing the imagination of this forum.

You say that now, but wait until you read the response poem I'm going to post.

When is the due date for this? I played through Xanadu Next a couple months ago and I looooooved it!!! I hadn't considered making fan art for it though. Is it too late?

@“Andy B”#p115308 it's never too late!

@“Andy B”#p115308 people have submitted stuff to art jams (very) late before, go for it!

@“NoJoTo”#p115389 Has no one else submitted to this yet or am I in the wrong place?

@“Andy B”#p115440 this is the place, just nobody submitted here yet!

The prior art jams, linked in this thread’s OP, all have excellent submissions you should go check out!

I know I‘m wildly late to this, but I wanted to get back into watercolors so I’m using this art jam I said I‘d do months ago as an excuse to do that. So here’s a simple portrait of the main dude from Xanadu Next in watercolor and pen. I played this game last year for the first time and I really enjoyed it. It‘s got good low poly vibes. And feels like a literal baby’s first Dark Souls with it's small, interconnected world design.

Anyway when's the next one?
