@ârearnakedwindowâ#p82580 You have at least an indirect form of agency while watching your friend play (unless youâre sitting there stone silentâŠ). Sitting in a shared space with your friend feels better than sitting in front of your computer or on your phone (I guess you could watch a Letâs Play on a TV, hmm).
Does the same hold true for watching a friend play a game that they're streaming to you? I think so (though watching in person is preferred)

The Shit Heap or the S Heap as they would probably refer to it on the swear-averse podcast
my question is: can I wear a gold chain with a t shirt that has silver print on it? I know it's bad luck and or gauche to mix silver and gold jewelry, but does this hold for a metal + fabric combination ?
This is a genuine question I need fashion advice (from a video game forum)
When I was a small child and saw the title screen of Tetris on my new Gameboy said Bullet Proof Software, I assumed that meant that the cartridge was literally bulletproof. Are there any other developer names that could cause confusion?

You can. Your forefathers kicked the British Empireâs arse for your right to do so.
But you shouldnât.

Is it the original plan for the Xbox One (always online, TV integration etc)? Don Mattrick is the white suburban mom, the dads are other MS execs and Phil Spencer is the daughter that got what the kids want?
what's up with those videos that always get millions of views where someone takes a Wii or a PS2 and makes them into a weird looking handheld
does anyone really want one of those or is it just youtube shock value??
is metal gear acid like metal gearâŠon acid? which games are âlike X game on Y drugâ?
@âç©Žâ#p83284 Iâve supposed it was the sheer novelty of it in the past, but now that the Switch and Steam Deck are totally normalized and common itâs weird to see them still out there.
Hypothetically speaking, if you were seeking to publicize on the Insert Credit forums a sale for your favorite game, which prominent videogame person's unexpected death could you allude to in a thread title to get the most clicks?
(Curious if Yeso had a spreadsheet that also included such figures as Swery, Suda, and Keita Takahashi, filled with all sorts of stats so he could carefully calculate who'd maximize the hits, before ultimately deciding upon Itoi.)
you pick the one that upsets people the most, that way theyâre happier when they find out itâs a trick and also a solid deal
@âsaddleblastersâ#p83342 i actually had a dream where keita takahashi had died. i dreamt about sad tweets. what a horrible life i lead.
Thereâs a lot of potential comedy in buying just a few items at the grocery store.
Obviously overdone are any phallic vegetables, lotion and tissues⊠(but maybe those are the exact things you need).
Around Valentineâs Day I saw a couple check out with a dozen roses, a bottle of red wine, and a 10 pound bag of russet potatoes. I'll never know what kind of peeling antics they got up to that night.
But on to the question: **What combination of two games would you be most surprised to see someone buy? (Maybe at a Gamestop, back when people bought games)**
More focused version: **What combination of games would you be most surprised to see in a bundled release from the publisher?**
...Last one. I recently checked out at the grocery store with just a big bag of dog food and a megapack of toilet paper. I really really wanted to say "This stuff goes right through me!"
This isnât a video game question, but itâs related to nature of the show itself, and I think about it from time to time in different situations:
What factors lead one to call someone else mainly by their last name?
I can't imagine referring to Tim as "Rogers," Frank as "Cifaldi," etc. unless I were writing an article about them, but everyone (including me) so naturally calls Alex Jaffe just "Jaffe." I've also known a handful of people in real life that are always referred to by their last name, and I can't really discern any pattern to it, other than this seems to mainly happen with men, not so much with women. Besides it being easily pronounceable, I'm not sure if there's anything else intrinsic in the last name itself that increases or decreases the likelihood that it will be used.
What theories do people have? Are there any subtle ways this differs in different English speaking countries?
