A neighbour has for real had their Hallowe’en decorations set up since just after Labour Day.
A bit crunchy, but I suppose it adds to the charm.

Hunting for the right setting to take good photos of animals on my 15 year old Canon point-and-shoot.
@“connRARRR”#p135192 if it makes you feel better the same thing is happening on my month old ricoh
Watched the sunrise from the roof of my building this morning.
Taken with a Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS Digital Elph, aka Digital IXUS 80 IS. I’m getting to know this camera all over again after eleven years apart. It takes these stout 4:3 photos with a very narrow lens but there’s something about how shadows look in well-lit shots that I’ve always loved about it.
@“rejj”#p114052 here are the same good trees, shot by the same bad photographer — only now it is spring rather than autumn

took the train from montréal to halifax over the past two days, i'm genuinely happy with how this shot lined up. only took thirty other complete washouts to get this one.

Tonight I discovered CHDK firmware patching and got it working for my Canon, so that I can shoot in RAW and see overexposed spots when shooting. I haven‘t dug into what else it can do and for now it’s mostly just slowed my camera down. Luckily it's very easy to undo the patch. Neat, though!!
There's [an equivalent for Nikon](https://simeonpilgrim.com/nikon-patch/nikon-patch.html) which I don't know how to use because I don't have a Nikon.
My backyard. This is the first honest attempt at photography, no phone camera.

Very excited to have found the photography thread. I have been attempting to learn the ins and outs and shoot consistently this last year but wish I was shooting more. I love tinkering with things so I am smitten with analog cameras in particular. Here’s 3 bad shots i like from a ski bum road-trip with my temperamental XA4. I’m really keen to document my snowboarding adventuring on film this season and doubt I’ll be taking the XA4 on mountain with me this time, it is a bit delicate (also, temperamental) so the jostling in my bag is not great for reliability (unless I figure out how to fix that too…). Looking for any winter photo tips/gear recs. Planning to use a Canon Q17 or Canon AP-1 Waterproof 35mm this season on mountain.

Had a lot of fun this halloween listening to late night radio and messing around with some colored lightbulbs and candles.
Just the latest things I had developed. these are all Cinestill 800 except the biker in front of a tree is Color Plus. The Color Plus actually ruled. There's more here.
@“DaveedNoo”#p139141 I love these!
