Urghhhh dammit, if I checked last month, I could've gotten the instruction manual, control description panels, and an arcade display card from yahoo auctions for just a little more!!! Agghhh!! https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m461013851
Here's high res photos of them:
I also found a yahoo auction listing from November for a PCB of Cleopatra Fortune and at half the price and mannnnnnnnn https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/t765292846
Can't believe I dropped the Cleopatra Fortune ball so hard.
What's your arcade setup like? What do you use as a Supergun?
Actually, I don't really know what people use for home arcade setups. What I know about arcade boards is like: you need a game PCB, a motherboard to play that PCB, a supergun to work as a device that connects the motherboard to a TV and controller and power source. Is that correct?
Also I did a sort-of-on-purpose 5 chain tonight, wahoo:

I feel like I didn't really understand chaining in this game until I played in tournament and had to think about the game differently. The single player only rewards you for playing safely and cleaning up your mess, especially with how Perfects give a nice full screen image, so I never really put much thought into layering or building for a certain purpose. Really wish there was a 2P CPU Vs mode so I could practice it more ://///
Wait have you not been to my house!? I use that aero city cab. Haven't you played landmaker at my house or did I not invite puzzle death upon myself…??
Vince has a good supergun he just bought, you should ask him about it.
Also most games are just self contained pcbs. I think that's still true even as the industry turned toward mvs-style system boards in the 90s. an st-v, mvs, cps, f-3, atomiswave, that's all way less common than just a bare pcb you slap into a jamma harness, in the grand scheme. Even snk released some bare pcb versions of later games - I've got kof xi that way.
@exodus#13255 Last time I was there, I saw your cab in the garage plus your twenty thousand Sega Saturns but we didn't play. Think we just hung out listening to Chinese surf rock or something instead
I tweeted about the EZ-appli video but forgot to update this page!!! I can't believe it exists. I wonder if I could ask the owner if he'd just sell me his phone so I could get it dumped for game preservation :thinkingemoji:
Also I totally got that issue of Gamest Graphics a few weeks ago!!! I need to scan it
I wasn't going to do it until I saw a seller on ebay was selling it for $99, which is pretty dang cheap, but saw that another copy with an obi was just like 10 bucks more so at that point I figured why not, my brain is already here, I'm already buried under Cleopatra's mummies and sacrophogi whynot wynaut aquanaut holiday
@Personasama#13811 i use this thing for all the non-hd to hdmi consoles. it's pretty dang sweet and requires no work. though I needed to buy scart cables.
@Personasama#13811 There is the RAD2X cable for Sega Saturn. I've heard only good things about these cables for all the systems that they do. Plug and play with no lag.
@hellomrkearns#13833 I've been looking for these cables for the last 6 months from both the retrovision site and ebay and they just do not ever go on sale at all
@hellomrkearns#13837 Actually checking the link you posted now though, looks like they‘re doing a preorder for March??? That’s not too bad, time for me to get some!
@Personasama#13130 Whatever you do don‘t laminate those documents! It’ll waterproof it but it's irreversible and after 20 years or so terrible things will start happening.
