Let's share some game music

I wanna go to a bathhouse in kyoto and have this playing in the speakers

https://youtu.be/nk4VinTeEVE

listening to a lot of FM music, Snatcher on MSX, PC engine and Sega CD soundtrack, Yuzo Koshiro-composed Sega Mega Drive soundtracks, PC98 music and Etrian Odyssey FM OSTs today to find a perfect BGM for my MEGASD flashcart file system. So far from what I‘ve smacked together and been able to convert to .wav I have:

Snatcher MSX Opening Theme

Theme of Junker (PC Engine)

Cure (SEGA CD, didn't convert correctly)

You know, it doesn’t have to be sega hardware, so long as it has the FM spirit and sounds so good it never gets old, and puts one at ease.

What do y'all think? Any song suggestions or expertise with converting .vgm or other files to lossless .wav ?

This is music for a pretend Saturn game and it's quite nice! Give it a listen.

@exodus my friend shared that with me a few days ago and it‘s sick! been a while since i was excited about mitch murder’s music

@skellingtor I wasn‘t familiar with them until this came up in the ol’ algo. the rest of this output feels more like your classic 80s retrowave stuff which is fine, but not super compelling to me. this one's real neat though!

@exodus i'd love it if people kept on pretending this saturn game exists until it does.

@pasquinelli I‘d play it! I’m surprised there aren't more games about doing the pit stop work, on like the DS or Wii or similar.

@exodus the last few sony F1 games — 05, 06, and championship edition — let you do the pitstops manually! you press the buttons that show up on screen as fast as possible and off you go.

@treefroggy feels like this is riffing on chemise's “she cant love you” with a hint of “bad girls” in the melody

There is no catchier theme in a video game than Baccarat‘s theme in SaGa Frontier and it has a vibe that just makes me want to stay in there and chill. I have never been to a casino and have no interest in gambling, but if they played this music and had this vibe I’d go to Vegas in a heatbeat.

Was recommended this page by a friend: https://chiptune.app/browse Amazing collection of tunes there and sound very authentic! It's basically my game music from age seven till about 14!

Is posting Armored Core here cheating, cause holy heck, all these games have some amazing OST‘s.

For Answer, in particular has some great tracks that really sound like they’re beating the absolute trash out of their instruments.

Because I've been channel surfing a bunch of SNES games recently:

Hourai Gakuen no Bouken! looks pretty unimpressive, but has charmed the hell out of me with its really good soundtrack, humor, and really nice character portraits.

Do-Re-Mi Fantasy's music has probably already been posted here, but I'll post it again anyway because it's a silly good soundtrack.

I've also been in a super Sonic mood lately while anticipating Superstars and any further news about it. Sonic Jam's manual music fills me with a very warm nostalgia.
