I really enjoy music from the Uncharted Waters series, but I’ve never successfully played more than about 30 minutes of one.
that’s sick. i love it when someone goes all in on the little synth vibrato
I just found out that Rygar on the famicom has a different soundtrack and I can only find very little examples of it online. I’m going to have to play it
this has 5 tracks marked as jp version. is that what you’ve found?
I only found a Reddit post about it with gameplay from the opening area. Your link seems to be or comprehensive. I wonder if labeled at the Japanese version are the only differences.
that site has a famicom and an nes page for rygar, but they’re the same soundtrack. not sure why.
The internet works in mysterious ways.
trying to link to a chapter in a youtube video, but it doesn’t seem to work.
track 11, 27:28
the whole thing’s pretty rad though
Big fan of the youtube channel Matt Trakker. Posts a bunch of music from old japanese pc games and other similar things. A few of my favs below.
When I haven’t been playing SMT V Vengeance, its music has constantly been swirling around in my head. It’s something special.
Every now and then I’ll have an itch to listen to these two specific tracks from that game:
and especially…
There’s such a vivid memory in my head of renting this game and playing it and thinking about how weird it was, not really realizing it’s sort of more of an adventure game that just so happens to have some (very annoying) action elements in it.
Also people always rag on the awesome options menu music in Sonic Spinball, but fail to ever knock on this (also awesome) track:
hell yeah man
