@“milo”#p141152 digimon ver.WS is so damn hard just because of the patterns (or lack thereof) of the training mini game holy crap it seems more tedious to get anything besides a numemon
@“HeavenlyHalberd”#p142409
There are definitely some decent gems, but expect to spend a loooot of money on games or get your hands on a flash masta. I have a handful of games for my Wonderswan, but Digimon pretty much lives in the thing 24/7. :3

Haha yeeeeah it can be kinda frustrating. Like the computer knows what button I'm gonna press. And for the record I've only ever got as good as a Meramon I think and never got to Ultimate level in the game yet.
I love that anyone else would have digital monster ver.ws as their main killer app for ws
Makes sense as an English speaker, and it’s cheeaaaap
Meramon is my all time favorite so I’m jealous of you
@“treefroggy”#p147684 this should be a post-game unlockable
not gonna talk about palworld not gonna talk about palworld
The 20th anniversary replicas for Tamagotchi Connection were made available this month.
Without trying I got the secret fourth stage old drunk man oyajitchi equivalent.
My review is the happiness metr seems to be broken and I prefer the decidedly less iconic series 1 style connection shells before they started adding the completely useless aesthetic antennae onto the shells.
nevermind, I guess the connection v3 that this was based on just has a permanent senior stage for all tamagotchis.
I remember this. This is a class A example of me seeing the coolest shit I’d ever seen and ever would see, at age 7.
You could say the Pocket Pikachu is a device with almost no gameplay compared to tamagotchi. But that’s why I love it. Pikachu doesn’t need your attention at all. It has auto sleep, It has an alarm, It has gambling, and it has a pedometer, that’s it. Pikachu doesn’t need to be fed to cares for in any way. You could use it just as a clock, or just as a pedometer. Everything else is embellishment. So low-maintenance. No guilt, no addiction. Somewhat surprised how little these 8 entire buttons are used, but I think that’s because they intended to use this model of device for many other things, which they did.
Telefang Power and Speed; most commonly known as the bootlegs for Pokémon Diamond and Jade has received a fan translation. Few fixes, looks like fun!
https://wiki.telefang.net/Wikifang:Telefang_English_Translation_Patch_Finally_Complete
Feels good to see these games finally get a chance for appreciation outside their history as bootlegs. They seem really interesting.
I’m still hoping for Shi Kong Xing Shou’s translation patch to get finished someday, on that note.
There’s a new PTCG for mobile. I have no idea if it’s good or not
I been playin so much mothafuckin Pokémon
Today I fully realized just how much the DS generation split the fandom into old heads and Dai Pa Kids.
anyone play that cassette beasts game? i always have the itch to play a new monster catcher but am hesitant to return to pokemon for some reason. maybe because i wanna play soulsilver but hate emulating ds games.
It’s pretty good. I haven’t touched it in a while, I think they finally added multiplayer battles too.
I really REALLY like Monster Sanctuary. I played it while feeling disenchanted by Scarlet/Violet’s in-game economics. The auction, vitamin prices, and gathering TMs just really felt like a waste of time.
Sanctuary suggests solid solutions to the team building issues I feel pokemon holds onto unnecessarily. Exploration and special monsters encounter feel reminiscent of the 1/2 gen pkmn titles at time of release. The game also scales with you. Challenge is consistent throughout. World traversal is Metroid/Search action rather than top down rpg. The monster abilities that work like the HM style stuff are plentiful because of it and are the keys to exploration.
Great to see Gen II on a Game Boy Pocket. In my mind Gold and Silver is strictly grayscale, I forget it’s also a colour game.
