Ugh, her daughter’s reaction to her show was heartbreaking (but justified). I thought maybe the detail about her interest in photography might be the connecting point between the two (some kind of self-expressive outlet) but not the case. The misdirect with the daughter “showing up” to the last performance was strange, was that just desire or delusion?
Also, I really felt for the girl who saw the crew “as a family,” with Shelly “as a mom.” When she came to Shelly for support the one night and got rejected so harshly, it killed me : (
