im about to board a flight but i found this post where a true legend listed the species they saw at the same garden i went to (judy istock butterfly haven). i’ve been combing through it to find the others, perhaps you can find it in there.
I took a picture of a little bug I found in my house yesterday. I had captured it to bring it outside, but realized the paper I used to more ably move him was a letter that had my full name and address printed on it. I’d rather not put that one on the internet!
I don’t have any good pictures but I really enjoy how when I am (for example) relocating a big spider from the bathtub to outside it’ll be all “HECK get me out of here I’m gonna die” while I’ve got it in a glass in transport and then as soon as I drop it in an abandoned web outside it’s like “oh it’s my house. How did it fall into such disrepair” and just starts weaving it back together. funny little guys
You reminded me that I filmed a bunch of videos of this spider out on my balcony weaving her web, and snacking on a mosquito that landed in it before she could finish.
I kept putting off posting these because they were in AVCHD and had to figure out how I was going to convert and trim them without destroying the quality.
Yeah, get those mosquitos!! In my old apartment there were people next door who decided to fill their house with poison because there were “spiders in there” - I did not approve of this obviously. Then later they mentioned they were having problems with all kinds of insects and asked me if I had the same, and I was like… no… I have spiders in my place and they eat them all. And they were like …oh…
