@“Mnemogenic”#p159636 can you momentarily enable changing your vote after voting? I voted with my guts over my brains such that I voted before I noticed the option to submit </s>*indistinct grunting and sloshing sounds*<e>

Pie charts!

Hmm… Not sure about this pie chart thing… Takes extra brain power to parse because labels and numbers are not on the chart.

using a 16-button controller, playing a 3D action game (1st- or 3rd-person)

  • pushing a face button to crouch
  • clicking an analogue stick to crouch

I vote face button under duress, as I never enjoy clicking an analogue stick. Especially for an action linked with or that happens during movement. Urrgh.

(my strong preference, if allowed to engage my brain temporarily, is to press a back paddle)

As someone who’s done data visualisation for years and had too many disagreements on why pie charts are pointless without values next to them I endorse this post. AND have a solution.

When you make a poll you can click on the cog and customise it even further:

Please pick Bar. As you can’t edit a poll once it’s been created. Don’t make me sad.

It really isn’t enjoyable, but my gut said stick click, because it’s the convention by now and convention is comfortable. Also the click sounds a lot like my knees/ankles/assorted joints when I try crouching irl.

I adored that game as a kid but it’s impossible for me to revisit now. I always tap out like thirty minutes into the tutorial zone.

Edit: Also I resent that it’s the poster child for “how to make turn-based combat actually fun” just because you have to time your button presses. I think it might be time to let that idea go lol

Ah man, sort by votes is not good I think. Too hard to parse the result.
