Rap World was great but was kind of missing that future nerve that I feel like all his other stuff pokes at.
great way of putting it. just watched “the mask” again and kinda feels like brian wilson hearing “revolver” for the first time.
Yeah. I think my biggest criticism of him for as much as I love his stuff, and this extends to like Alan Resnick and other guys in that universe, is even though they’re using the gen AI for ugly shit, they’re still kind of normalizing it.
How much of it is haha bad and how much of it is pushing it towards using it. O’Malley least guilty of this but it’s there.
that’s fair. counter argument would be the way they’re using it is actually hurting it from being normalized considering how much it already is. i am stunned at how many gen ai images show up in powerpoints and stuff within the last 3 months. even for images that have public domain alternatives, like fall leaves!
this is why we need sad reacts

My physic teacher (who was obviously my favorite teacher) showed us this episode for our E&M segment in high school physics. For nearly 3 decades, this scene at 10 minutes where he records on “sticky tape and rust” has been lodged into my brain as if someone recorded it with sticky tape and rust and just runs it past the coiled magnetic play heads of my mind.
My other memory of this show is a different episode when the guy with no glasses narrates a 4 minute story directly into the camera about how he spent 2 days and like, 25 pounds sterling trying to repair a 5-pound wrist watch.
This is a trip. I never thought I’d ever see it again. When YouTube isn’t radicalizing us, it’s legitimately a great resource!
I really have a problem with reels and TikTok. I’ve started seeing timers on my phone where i can’t use it again until the timer goes off.
