This is honest to god the first song I ever completed when I was learning electronic music like… seventeen years ago. I didn't know a thing about music theory. I just threw reverb and compression on everything.
not totally sure how i feel about this. it‘s the first time i’ve worked with another musician, because i wanted to push towards a different direction from what i was doing before, but i'm not sure we landed in the place i wanted to be? idk. it might just need to be mixed and mastered
@“Andy B”#p130090 Haha, my process back then (and kinda today too) is to just start by messing around on my midi keyboard until I find something I like, and I build from there. I think I imagined the quiet one (“Bustle”) to be for a little village in an imaginary RPG. For the terrible loud one (“Byrn”) I actually remember clearly that I was listening to Brian Eno‘s King’s Lead Hat and was like “yeah I wanna make a rock song!” and then, somehow, I dunno, that awful piece of shit came out.

Fascinating! "Byrn" was giving me big circus/carnival vibes.

@“treefroggy”#p130184 keeping the spirit of the thread and posting the worst stuff on my SC from 15 years ago
This is really bad. I love it. Thank you. I love/hate the very harsh stereo separation that's going on.
@“leah”#p130186 I listened to some of your other stuff (“in exile”) and this is indeed not mixed as well as that. There is a certain flatness here, and your voice particularly isn't mixed great. But I like your album “in exile” a lot.
Your voice reminds me a bit of my friend Day Magee, (which is a good thing!) Their music is on spotify under their name.
I just put out a new EP called “Viralata Software”, it may be bad but it's not terrible. If you like ambient music, house, techno stuff you might like some of the tracks on here. I try to keep it short but varied. Anyway, here it is!
My band put out a Bandcamp-only live EP last week, consisting of four tracks recorded for a radio session earlier this year. You can listen to it if you like. Or don’t. It’s your life.
