i stalled out on elden ring a few months back, like 50 hours in but only in that second âdungeon,â the magic school in the swamp, and like, i keep thinking what if i played it again but both the thought of starting over and of picking up where i left off seem likeâŠ. too much? but i wanna see the remaining 80% of the game, but also i donât know if i feel like itâs too much game or what, and also thereâs dlc in the works??? itâs like, kind of too big and i don't know what to DO

Well, they have sorta been to post secondary school before, but for anyone who doesn't remember or wasn't around, my partner was living in Canada as an undocumented immigrant for over 20 years, she got deported in 2021, but we were able to get her back here as a Permanent Resident as of January this year.
In the times before that whole mess, they were in a private music conservatory, actually one of the best ones in the country, where she majored in viola. But, well, one of the earliest parts of the whole debacle was that the registrar there noticed that she didn't have a Social Insurance Number in her student file, which lead to them asking her why, and then her having to explain why, which made them make the decision to basically suspend her from the performance diploma program until she could sort out her immigration status issues (which were a lot more complicated than we thought they would be, of course). Presumably as a private music school they aren't quite as linked up with, like governmental institutions, as the public colleges and universities here tend to be. So, I think the registrar (who was a different person from the narc, fuck Gilles, fuck narcs and snitches, fuck em!!!!!) just decided to overlook the fact she didn't have a Social Insurance Number.
They also started school today by the skin of our gotdang teeth for another reason, because, uh, we found out over the summer that my partner also technically never graduated high school!!!!!!!! That registrar apparently also overlooked THAT, too, lmao. She got all of the required course credits, but in Ontario, high schoolers need to perform 40 hours of community service, and she just apparently never submitted paperwork for that. So over the summer she also volunteered at a soup kitchen and also the local humane society. So, technically she is now a high school graduate, but, the school/school board took forever to mail her her updated high school transcript that showed she did indeed graduate, which was mandatory for her to accept the offer to go to college and apply for a student loan and blah blah blah. So we literally finalized her registration, like, yesterday lol. And we had to pay tuition out-of-pocket for now, because although usually the student loan would just pay it directly, yeah, she couldn't proceed with her application. But, once the student loan comes in it will just get paid directly to us.
Anyway!!!!! Most of that is not that important! What's important is my partner is going to college for (basically) the first time!! She's taking a 1 year Pre-Health program which is a kind of intermediate program for preparing to go into any manner of health related college and university programs, mostly designed for people who, say, have been away from schooling for a little while, or who are wanting to go into or pivot towards healthcare but who didn't take the kinds of necessary prerequisites for healthcare related college and university programs (like chemistry and biology).
She is brilliant and I know she will do great and I'm so proud of her and happy for her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
