@âGaagaagiinsâ#p113004 It was not a joke! It was something I once thought might be true and then looked it up and read about it. Though I appreciate you adding context to that silly thing I said.
And just to be clear, I think it's _cool_ that we have an orchestra man whose job is to just gesture dramatically (while on stage, anyway. As you've explained, they are in fact extremely important outside the night of performance).
@âphylaxisâ#p113039 I used to think the Deftones and the Mighty Mighty Boss Tones were the same band. My brother listened to the deftones around the time when I must have seen the Mighty Mighty Boss Tones on MTV or something, so I assumed the Deftones were a ska band. I always heard cool people saying they loved the Deftones and I was skeptical but figured ska was just appreciated by all kinds of tatted up metalheads.
Then the first time I hear them in 20 years was that ill-advised George Floyd song and saw the skanking, and was like "THIS is the band that people way cooler than me don't shut up about???"
You're right, rewatching it, I haven't been this moved since the [Aquabats](https://www.bostonska.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/TheAquabats.jpg) dressed up to honor the 9/11 first responders.
haha man the revival of deftones lately is so bewildering to me, i always remember them as being yet another crappy 2000s nu-metal band but apparently a lot of people like them???
(Jk) The times I am not posting anything on the forum are due to having been timed out for the previous post I made being not sufficiently with it. Oh wait thatâs just me doing the timing out.
Also I have half a dozen weird psx simulation games I wanna write up on that thread but havenât gotten to it yet. My special gauge is still charging.
@âconnrrrâ#p113213 Looks like it fits the model great. Plz I hope menâs fashion doesnât bring back baggy clothes. It took years to get them to start wearing clothes that fit properly.
@âTradegoodâ#p113226 growing up we had Kohl's department stores and nothing fit right. When I moved away after college I was so overjoyed to find pants that fit. Luckily everywhere else followed soon after.
The baggy clothes era was great if you were a fat kid. Nothing fits you right anyway (unless you're some rich kid getting your clothes tailored or something).
Baggy clothing is also good if (like me) you don't want to be perceived as having a physical form!
Should also note that not all baggy clothing is made equal! I'm partial to sweatshirts with long and roomy arms, but the earlier era of baggy clothes never addressed this for me.
These are really good points and probably the best use cases for baggy clothes! I love learning these new perspectives! I wish the fashion industry would see things like that, and focus on making sure people have comfortable, well fitting clothes for all body types and desires to express yourself... rather than just telling everyone to adopt whatever cyclical trend is back in. But I guess human psychology doesn't really work that way.
