I once posted about Three Kingdoms (2010) on my Facebook, and it just so happened that my friend was also watching it, and we started gushing about it and talking about our favourite characters. Then I realized as we were talking about Zhang Fei that that was also her family name. So we were literally talking about her ancestor

One time on a different forum, probably in like 2006-2008, someone was playing Romance of the Three Kingdoms and having us all create characters who would populate the game and just let it run to see what happens. I guess in one of those games you could create factions with a maximum of 10 subordinates or something, so we had to recruit people for our teams. I spent a lot of time and energy coming up with names for the groups and all these things as well as recruiting a faction, and then the guy disappeared from the forum as the project was supposed to ramp up. He came back later and said our enthusiasm and participation was overwhelming.
