The Triple-i Initiative show is back on April 10.
Last year they announced some cool stuff at this show (Rogue Prince of Persia, Slay the Spire 2) so there might be some big news here (though I wouldnāt go in expecting a release date for Silksong or Demonschool or something.)

ugh. I didnāt want to believe the rumors and just assumed it would be some novelty DLC skin or something, but itās a whole ass character in the base roster of the game? What a weird way to ruin the roster of a game.
The character model also looks like garbage and I think highlights all of the weaknesses with the art style. A soccer ball based moveset is very dumb within the Fatal Fury universe. SNK even acknowleges the āAmerican Sports Teamā from KOFā94 as one of the worst ideas they had.
What a corny disappointment, and just another example of fortnite style crossover marketing making things worse.

Oh, damn, this might actually finally get me to play it beyond the opening section. I can do RTWP in systems I know well like AD&D, but in less familiar or bespoke systems, I tend to like having more time to thinkā¦

False alarm, I thought Nintendo were doing something pretty explicitly pro-consumer, but it turns out to ālendā a āvirtual game card,ā both consoles need to be on the same local wi-fi network. Leave it to Nintendo to compromise something actually cool to being just dumb enough to not be cool

Thereās something absolutely maniacal about purposefully recreating the major inconvenience of lending physical games, needing to be in the same place in person, and tacked it on to digital game distribution. Like, what, if I want to lend a game to an out-of-town friend who I am visiting, I gotta bring my Switch with me?

They only need to be local for the initial share, once āpairedā it claims you can lend out freely (for 2 weeks max).
