It’s going to be one hundred dollars for each vehicle in the online mode, and 1000 dollars for a plane, and 10000 dollars for an apartment. Probably.

Well, I said that was my most anticipated game of 2025 and I stand by it, but I won’t be paying $100 for a video game in 2025.

More seriously, I think a very sizeable chunk of GTA money came from online so their main priority here will be just getting people onboard. It seems like an unwise decision to risk putting off a bunch of potential “recurrent spenders” by raising the barrier for entry. Especially younger people who could potentially just get a flat no from parents who otherwise wouldn’t mind buying the game + a top up card every month or two (not that kids play GTA ofc, just a hypothetical).
I wouldn’t be surprised if there are many SKUs of this game that include in-game currency or unlockable/exclusive online stuff that are $100 and beyond though.
