The Coolest Way to Smoke (digitally)

Ok everyone knows its really awesome that every metal gear solid has a cigarette item that has a unique mechanical utility in game

while mgs v is the one ive played least i adore that smoking in it makes time go by faster

i just wanna know: what are your favorite games that let you smoke? whether its scripted events, a customizable emote, or just a silly button press i wanna know

a smaller game folks might not know as well is Sludge Life having cigarettes be an in game item that you can smoke by pressing C on your keyboard
the cigarette manufacturer also plays a major part in the world/story

Detective Jinguuji Saburou (aka Jake Hunter for some reason) is probably the most established chain smoker of video games across his dozens of cases.

What’s neat about it is that it often fills in for the typical “think” command of Japanese adventure games.

Surprised not to see Cyberpunk 2077 here, so I must present it! I loved the way this game approaches it, especially with the way V will start to smoke on their own in some scenes depending on when they occur and how far you are along with Johnny taking over

It ended up a core part of my character for the run I did after 2.0
