@“JoJoestar”#p47165 I love making lists and I'm glad you resurrected this thread because I forgot it existed…maybe one day I will put a list on here.

This Wii list is rad as heck. The Wii Era is a blind spot for me in particular because it's when I pretty much set video games to one side for a few years in order to go to college and focus on other things, and even besides that, it's hard to find the good Wii games because there's so much chaff out there. This list is a fun remedy to that.

Also shoutout to my favorite Wii game Tatsunoko vs Capcom. The fact that that game even got made is some kind of minor miracle.

I'll probably never finish these (IC forum drafted posts list)

I should use the draft feature! I tend to think about something, and then think I don’t have enough time to dedicate to writing it properly so don’t start at all. I should just type a bit as a draft and deal with it later.

Curious to hear your (brave?) defence of Ready Player One!

Here we go again

I already have some stuff from ages ago: Nier, Folklore, Drakengard 3, Katamari Forever, Ico/Sotc Collection, Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo, Trash Panic.

@“Syzygy”#p55820 Yeah the cover of 2 has a big “BONUS GAME: REMASTERED FIRST GAME” sticker on the cover haha, which begs the question…what did they remaster?? I remember those games having some kind of buzz back in the day but I’m mostly in it for the Escaflowne aesthetics.

Anyone else on the forum have a Backloggd account? I‘ve been spending the past few days trying to remember every game I’ve ever played/wanted to play and cataloguing them on this website. There‘s been a couple websites that have tried to do this in the past, but this is the only one I’ve found that is pulling from a big enough database to actually account for every game I can think of. Would love to follow you guys' lists if you have them or would want to start putting them together!

@“Syzygy”#p55825 I've been using How Long to Beat for my backlog. I daresay Backloggd is probably better at a glance though.

I add a game to the Completed list on the day that I finish it but in terms of the backlog list itself, I haven't updated it since before Christmas and there's quite a bit that needs adding. I have an arbitrary rule of not adding things like fighting games or shmups because they're designed for replaying endlessly rather than something to be completed.

In terms of its database, it's pretty good, not perfect but it's had pretty much everything that I've thrown at it other than one game that I forget the name of. However I have yet to try adding in the real obscure itch.io games, partly because I have so many from all of the bundles, and partly because a lot of them have no completed state.

I‘ve wanted/attempted to start a list, but there’s always other stuff making it harder than it needs to be. cataloguing every single game is already enough work, I don‘t wanna have to click 20 times per game. also it’s always centered on western releases.

what I need is an intuitive keyboard controlled gui that simply dumps entire romsets from the smokemonster lists containing every singel game from every single region, and allows me to go through highlighting each one with extensive keyboard (or even gamepad!!) controls

let me know if that exists now.

Lately I‘ve been making a list that ranks every single pipe organ in every single game that uses one, and using that list to briefly review that particular game’s use of the instrument in its soundtrack - so far I‘m up to 83 entries but I’d love to add more!! I know I‘ve got blind spots in entire RPG series (I suspect there may be a lot of Shining, Phantasy, and SaGa organs I have no clue about) and I know basically nothing about horror as an entire genre; if I may, I’d like to enlist you, Insert Credit Forum Users, to help steer me in the direction of more pipe organs for me to add to my list. Any organ you can think of, even if it only takes up a couple seconds in a soundtrack that otherwise never uses it - and for those who have none to offer, I‘d love for you to read my reviews of these organs anyways!! I feel like I’ve done a pretty good job of finding something insightful to say for just about every entry on this list - as far as lists go, I feel like this one‘s pretty unique and I’m proud of the consideration I've been putting into it.

@“Funbil”#p77117 Once upon a time I was going through some OSTs and thought, There are some cool uses of pipe organ in here, and here… I wonder if I could make a playlist of these… and then never did because I didn‘t know/wouldn’t have known how to even begin that monumental task.

You've done it!
You're doing it!

Legendary work. I will certainly keep an eye on this list and try to think of other titles, but you've covered a lot of ground already.

@“captain”#p77128 I wonder if I could make a playlist of these

A playlist, now there's an idea... There's a devil on my shoulder telling me that the next step in evolution here is to rank not just the games that use pipe organs, but every single individual track that uses one, and making a playlist out of that... Even I don't have that kind of resolve!!!

@“Funbil”#p77117 Xenogears. Big Organ Energy.

@“Funbil”#p77117 MediEvil has heaps of organ for the church level. The game's PS4 remake sprang for an orchestra.

@“Funbil”#p77117 There's a few tracks from Guilty Gear Isuka that use pipe organs, such as this one.
