Video Game Acoustic Covers have come a Long Way since 2005

I’ve always been so bad at organizing my music. YouTube doesn’t make it much easier.

I need more music to blast on my bicycle around town! So far all I have is this and like 10 acoustic covers of Winters/Snowman because it’s what I thought of.

Amazing they arranged this less than a month after the song debuted! The game’s not even out yet!

There is still not enough soulful alto sax covers of video game music

I was blasting an acoustic cover of Green Hill Zone riding my bicycle up the boardwalk and a dude who’s hustle is heckling people goes “he listenin to Wii music”

oh hell yeah

@“treefroggy”#p154222 So good! I love the sound of these old electric organs and it really fits the song of storms.

I used to have one when I lived in Chicago that I found on Craigslist and managed to learn exactly three songs: The Astral Observatory theme from Majora’s Mask (which was so much fun to build with sustain); the title theme from GCN Animal Crossing, and Dogsong from Undertale (strictly for being obnoxious); I miss that thing — I loved all the different sounds you could layer and its little lights.

Edit: I found the little demo vid I made for relisting it on Craigslist!

This rendition is really nice. Still one of my favorite Zelda songs.

@“safety_lite”#p154280 that’s funny I also recorded a little animal crossing gcn cover on an ancient electric organ because one of the drums settings sounded exactly like it: Stream 9AM (AC GC)(Electric Organ) by treefroggy | Listen online for free on SoundCloud

@“treefroggy”#p154287 yes!! GCN Animal Crossing had the best music. I need an organ with the cats setting

Here’s a cat organ rendition of the credits theme from Off!

Also @“treefroggy”#p154287 @“safety_lite”#p154280 these organ covers are both really good and I'm glad you shared them here.
