Got myself an AYN Odin Pro for xmas, and it shipped direct from China to Colorado in less than a week?! A Christmas miracle I suppose.
Well, my GIANT PACKAGE from Japan arrived. I bought a bunch of stuff on Amazon when the yen was super low (it‘s still low) and sent it to a friend who lives in kyoto because the shipping to him would be cheap. Then it cost a whopping $139 to ship it all to me. Whoops. And here’s how it showed up!

Luckily nothing was damaged, phew. So let's see what extremely many treasures I got for myself!! On my filthy rug because my vacuum broke!! That's the next thing I need to buy, but anyway:

First, the music. Mostly the same few artists - Miho nakayama, ritsuko kurosawa (goes by "ritsuko" or "Rits" usually), Gwinko. Then there's a toshiki kadomatsu album, as well as the Jadoes album that he was in that keeps going out of print (he was in all Jadoes albums, this one is just hard to get.)
Oh and strawberry switchblade! I found out about them while driving with @"chibi-tech"#1225 to Yokohama. They really sound like a modern band doing a throwback to 80s goth times, but they are in fact an 80s band who were just kind of ahead of their time. Check out the song "who knows what love is" and see if you agree!

Games! We got ore no ryouri, hot air balloon game Kaze no notam, the super ambitious [aconcagua](https://kimimithegameeatingshemonster.com/2021/07/28/when-two-very-different-genres-collide/aconcagua-2297/) (I already had that, oops), egg (brand new! I'm opening it), space invaders for pce with the cool gals vs mode (brand new also! Weird), a boku no natsuyasumi that I didn't realize was disc only, and then the big boy, the little boy, ちっぽけラルフの大冒険, little Ralph's adventure. Was it expensive? Yes. But was it less than half the price of ebay? Also yes! So whatever now I have it.

Now we've got the rectangles. Shenmue the movie on vhs! Apparently it's all rhe dreamcast cutscenes put together to try and make a movie. We shall see! Def jam vendetta for Ps2, the Japanese version of which has bonus characters Dabo and s-word (Japanese rappers, they're on the cover! Also I accidentally got a disc only one of this too if anyone wants it), irem's Blokus club with bumpy trot, [tori no Hoshi](https://kimimithegameeatingshemonster.com/2020/03/25/lost-in-spaaaaaaaacccceeeeeeee/tori-no-hoshi-1191/) (I wanted this since ages ago but yes kimimi DOES influence my game purchases), gleylancer for MD with soundtrack, and then two weird ones, phase paradox and Dinosaur hunting. Phase paradox is part of the Philosoma series, basically, which is weird enough, and yoko taro did some cutscene work on it. Dinosaur hunting is a Japanese Xbox exclusive that is by all accounts mediocre. But both of them were worked on by a guy I met during the last Japan trip who worked on the J-league soccer series during the Saturn era. And directed mean bean machine! And chase the express! So I decided to get some more of his games!

A few guides. [Quo Vadis 2](https://kimimithegameeatingshemonster.com/2019/02/07/quovadis-2-wakusei-kyoushuu-ovan-rei/), fighting vipers, and far east of eden kabukiden, which comes with a demo disc. What's on it? I have no idea. Exciting! And also the guy who sent me the package threw in a Kirby Frisbee which rules. Oh also not pictured, three packages of decaf milk tea.
So that's what I got!
Also this turned up today but with all this other stuff and how long I waited for it it's kinda like who cares at this point. Oops.

I wanted one of the Bandai-shaped cartridges, I used to have three of the very bad ones but sold them years ago. It's an appropriate time for Gundam to enter my life because I've been playing through the first three Armored Core games this month.

Kunio Field Day! I wanted a Kunio game for original family computer, and here it is like a gift from above.

ooh something fun was recently delivered to me haha. I'm not much of a toy person, but after roughly 1.5 years since I placed the order, this suddenly showed up

So I recently went to Spotify to enjoy my treasured Falcom Vocal Collection IV and was aghast to discover that it, along with many other classic Falcom albums, had been quietly delisted from the service. In a fit of confused despair, it seems like I must have panic bought a whole mess of old Falcom CDs off of ebay, because this lot just arrived at my doorstep:

The modern de facto standard for music enjoyment (paying one or several monthly fees for access to an ephemeral and inconsistent catalog subject to the whims of lawyers, businessmen, and other _nerds_) continues to depress me, but at least I can guarantee my access to these classics, and in lossless quality, to boot! Now I just have to track down _Vocal Collection III_...
I never really read manga before, but I‘ve had this nagging desire to experience the rest of Dorohedoro and I’m sick of waiting for the anime to catch up…sooooo I asked the internet what the best ebook reader for manga is and the first search result said “Kobo Forma.” I ordered a refurb one for a decent discount (pretty much new condition!) and this thing has been incredible–I'm already 7 volumes deep after only a few days and starting to look at where to go next (thinking Chainsaw Man, maybe?). I love all these weird gross wonderful characters and they look perfect on the 8" backlit screen
