I just randomly decided to splurge on this to use with my MiSTer. I’ve never had a fight stick before and honestly have barely ever experienced using arcade setups. I’ve been playing through some NeoGeo games lately with a controller and felt like I’ve been missing out on a different/better experience without a fight stick, which is what prompted me to buy it. Any recommendations for good games I should try out with this? I mean other than the NeoGeo library and the most obvious arcade fighters.

@“exodus”#p109072 I really want to enjoy playing shmups more…. But I honestly just kind of suck at them. One of the first games I booted up was Dimahoo though and I found it immediately more enjoyable to play with the stick than a controller. I don’t know if I’ll manage to get very good at those games, but I’ll definitely have fun playing around with more of them with this stick. I’ll check out those two you recommended next. Thanks!
@“darkseiken”#p108936 Be sure to put Onion OS on it. In terms of difficulty it just involves putting some files in a specific spot of the flash card and waiting for them to unpack. Makes it much better overall.
@“Danimal”#p109082 if you want a game to learn, try gate of thunder for pc engine. It‘s good at teaching you at lower difficulties, and then teaching you again at higher ones. Mars matrix is another one (DC, so maybe no core for that?) - it’s tough, but gives you more lives/sheilds/etc as you improve, allowing you to get further over time.

not a mail call but i go to a lot of estate sales, today i got an M2 Genesis, working Sega CD, one controller, all the cables, two copies of Sewer Shark(?), and Sonic Spinball CIB, Age of Empires, Caesar III, and American McGee‘s Alice lol for $50. i kinda can’t believe the SCD was still there 'til the last day of the sale, right up front even.
Must support the translucent revival where I can. Thanks @Personasama for bringing these to my attention! 💚💜

I can tell you what isn‘t in the mail - the brand new copy of Left Alive that I bought for £4.95 and was dispatched two weeks ago. Maybe Royal Mail think they’re doing me a favour by not delivering it.
Well like so many of us recently, I’ve gotten onboard the “get a DSi LL while they’re still affordable” train. (This is the second one I’ve owned in my lifetime.) Look at this beautiful green! It’s basically in mint condition, and I got it for 6,000 yen. Very pleased with this purchase and looking forward to seeing all those crisp pixels after years of playing DS games on my various 3DSs.
Got this FFXIV CE box from goodwillfinds for cheap. I didn‘t know it existed and got it for pretty cover. It’s big!…. but not much inside like your usual CE stuff.

[edit:] soundtrack is pretty legit, and it DOES have the PS menu music in it. there's a lot of kind of generic symphonic music here, but there's also some striking stuff. there's 5 god darned CDs of music in here! lord!! the poor composers. nobody ever listened to this!
