I’m shopping now.
i made a rare impulse purchase because it’s cool and it’s almost my birthday.
I got a big Surugaya order full of cds, a Laserdisc, etc but the main reason I ordered from them is because I am a true film sicko and wanted the uncut version of Ultraviolet on blu ray, which was only released in Japan.
oh wow, I know that guy!!!
Apes together strong.
I’ve gotten a bunch of things in the mail that I forgot to post here, whoops. But uhhh this came today:
This brings my collection up to four (this, the OST for The Stanley Parable (I can’t explain why), one of the 2002 prints of kent’s Vapen & Ammunition, and a reprint of Eiichi Ohtaki’s A Long Vacation).
Got me a new arcade PCB: Dodonpachi Saidaioujou. Now I gotta work on beating the default high score first, this game doesn’t mess around. A game Shinobu Yagawa (of all people) called too difficult.
Normally I can manage to survive until the last stage in all Dodonpachi games, but with SDOJ I‘m happy if I can reach the stage 3 boss, lol.
Wow… Looks like you got some other cabinets too? Would love a look at what else is going on over there. Always super fascinated to see which arcade boards people seek out, since they’re not something anyone can just pick up on a whim. Says a lot about a person.
That’s an Atomiswave Sitdown cab, poor man’s Egret 3.
I can straight up just dump and tell you what PCBs I have, it’s a few though!
Beeg list

I probably forgot something. Used to have way more legit Cave boards but these became way too expensive. That and stuff like an MVS or CPS2 collection made obsolete by the SiSTer.
Also owned stuff like Battle Garegga, Armed Police Batrider, Mushihimesama Futari, Espgaluda 2 and legit copies of Daioujou & Espgaluda before. Best not to ask what prices I sold them for. Let’s just say a digit less for what they sell now.
Really like these over engineered little packing triangles. Probably the best I’ve ever seen by my standards.
ok before I saw the list with the asterisks I was assuming you were like 10 tax brackets above me (still possible). Very nice arcade collection that is still incredibly expensive lol. What’s your favorite GNET game?
Got a new mouse. It’s a trackball! after some people here recommended one. Feels great. Took me like an hour to get used to but after that it’s been smooth sailing. I’m now an orb ponderer.
This is part one of getting into ergo stuff cause my right wrist started hurting a lot. Have a split keyboard pcb coming soon ish. Bought a cheap one for AliExpres cause most split keyboards are prohibetely expensive. The designs of these weirdo keyboards are mostly open source anyway so I don’t expect my AliExpress keyboard to be that bad.
I got an AliExpress keeb for my first split and it served me well but doesn’t have tenting and I find that’s the 2nd most important thing next to being split. It still helped a ton though. Get ready to type really badly for a couple weeks as you get used to it.
Haha no way, I’m a social worker. Notoriously underpaid for the value I provide. I just got into arcade games like 17 years ago.
My favorite GNET game is probably Shikigami no Shiro or Zooo. Some known ding dong modded some additional games to run on the hardware, like G-Darius. But never really warmed up to that one, ngl. I’m more of a Darius Gaiden guy.
Ah yeah ahead of the curve. brandon on the podcast said they could get a legit Elevator Action Returns and Motherboard for $60 in the past.
I need to try zoooo again. I like CHAOS Heat if you haven’t tried that one
