@“kory”#p119716 that's gotta be TMNT the arcade game?
@“exodus”#p119747 correct! I mostly remember this sound effect from the SNES port of Turtles in Time, which was at a much lower fidelity. Couldn’t find a clean version of that one, though. Nice work!
okay here's one
clip3.mp3 - Google Drive
I did it on gdrive so I wouldn't have to make any new accounts!
@“exodus”#p119753 oh heck, I feel like I heard this in a thorhighheels video or something recently…
@“exodus”#p119753 This has to be Disaster Report!
@“Jax”#p119757 and it is! I think I even made @espercontrol put it in a podcast episode this year, ha ha. Your turn!
@“exodus”#p119768 Ah the plight of the journalist.
Here we go

I feel like I’ve heard this at some point… The soundfont almost gives Pokémon, but it sounds more like a level start jingle. I feel like it would play while displaying some sort of objective on screen. Could it be a Mega Man of some description???
Oh right this thread!
it sounds more like a level start jingle
It is indeed a level start jingle. It is not a Mega Man of any description. I’d say this game falls outside of most basic genre types. (platformer, shooter, fighting, etc.)
I think we might need another audio clue!? Or at least a cluier text clue. Issue with the audio thread is, if you don’t already know the game, there’s little to no way to sleuth it out.
Hmm, I dunno, maybe if we give it another 10 months someone might crack it…
Here’s the original clip again, now linked for convenience
Now here’s that same jingle, as it exists in a prior entry within the series
This game/series is exclusive to Nintendo platforms, but is not developed by Nintendo.
As a warning, the answer is in the title of the second clip!
Oh, I just figured it out. That’s the “Begin Procedure” jingle from Trauma Center: Second Opinion/Under the Knife!
Ohhhhhh, that is what it is! That explains why it tingled in my brain…
Interesting, I’m not seeing anything like that on my end?
Either way, @Video_Game_King has correctly sussed it out!
If you save the file and open it in an audio player, it’ll show the information contained in the ID3 tags – including, in this case, the title of the game!
Ah. I did lazily grab this one from khinsider!
Disclaimer: this doesn’t represent the audio as you’d hear it in the game per se. It does occur in the game; just alongside music and sound effects and not strictly in the order presented here.
Does the crying noise represent the same character, or is that other game audio?
