It’s a bit of a weird one, given that it came out several years after Dark Souls re-defined what combat looked like in games. It has a lot of the same stuff as a Souls-like, like losing your currency when dying combat more focused on one to a few enemies at a time than the more hack-and-slashy previous games, but it’s still got a lot of its hack-and-slash roots
