Your First Pink in Games

Peach in SM64 was the earliest game I played in this thread so far, but there were games I played before, and sure enough, once I looked to those earlier games the titular character of Putt Putt Saves the Zoo does have a nice pink dashboard. Are we inside Putt Putt? Lots of things to think about there as well

Good point, one of my earliest games was a copy of Prehistorik my mum’s work friend’s son put on our PC. I don’t remember if it was pink though but I remember the colours were weird.

Maybe it was the CGA version?

He also put Skyroads on there thinking about it and I played that a bunch.

There was undoubtably some pink in these but I don’t remember them as pink so not sure if it counts!?

I’m confused with the use of Pantone here. Is it a word on its own? I thought it was a brand name.

Yeah well I am stealing it and there’s nothing the grammar police can do about it.

It was just a messy personal shorthand for “officially identified CMYK color / universal Pantone Matching System ID” which is a standard allowing the identification of color despite everyone’s different screen configurations and real world perception of color.

That CGA palette is White-Black-Cyan-Magenta. Magenta definitely qualifies as “pink”
