Hello! Iāve been looking for gaming forums to join given social media is circling the drain, and was recommended this spot.
My nameās Jordan, but using my real name online still feels weird. I grew up as a Nintendo kid, but got really into fighting games starting back in 2019, just after graduating college. A lot has changed since then, but Iām going back and appreciating games in news ways - or games that came out before I was even born - thanks to stuff like MiSTer and Fightcade.
I have a bunch of stuff I do thatās centered on fightgames; I stream tournaments and casual stuff, I run discords, I edit wikis, etc.
If I had to pick a favorite game right now? Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness.

I have a total soft spot for Samsho 3. Itās a wonderfully broken game if you dig into it - I could go on about the nature of throws, infinites, or Basaraās total inability to deflect - but if you donāt, itās an innovative game with some of SNKās best sprite art.

Hi Iām Mutoid and Iāve been using this screen name for over 20 years now. Iām a gamer dad these days but Iāve been the most dedicated casual gamer youāve ever seen since I could make Mario jump as a 5 year old. Though I cut my teeth on console, Iām thoroughly a PC gamer now.
Iāve never believed I had the time or patience for RPGs, and yet Iāll willingly grind ranked SF6 for hours at a time or die 500 times in a sitting trying to beat a B-side of Celeste. Itās probably the way Iāve missed out the most on breadth of titles.
I love fighting games and grew up playing them against my friends, from SF to Soul Calibur to various SNK games (Samsho, Garou, KOF), picking the unpredictable or underdog characters. SFV Dan is a beast. Now I main Dee Jay in SF6.
Similarly Iāve loved FPSs since I had a machine that could run DOOM, and fragged it up over the years in Quake, UT, Half-Life, CS, and TF2 at my friend groupās LAN parties. I envy the people with good snap aim reflexes and while Iāll never be a top player, theyāre still a blast to play. Iāve probably put the most solo hours into BF2 and Apex Legends.
These days Iām a Patient Gamer in the Steam store, and have not paid launch price for a video game in almost a decade. Closest Iāve come recently is SF6. With the aim of playing it at my best, I even built an arcade controller! Out of a vintage faux leather briefcase.
I guess thatās about it. Hoping to stick around and learn more about yāall.

One last thing. My #1 game of all time is Battletoads. Itās the closest game I have to being able to speedrun. Tim Rogers be damned.

I also have a soft spot for Battletoads, but partially because the Genesis version is made by ArcSysWorks.

Hi, long-time listener and lurker. Iāve never really engaged with forums/online communities before because I always found it scary! But yāall seem like a nice bunch, and the rest of the internet is bad, so I thought Iād say hi!

Iām a librarian, Bri*ish, and I just bought a Saroo because the Satiatorās price tag makes me nauseous and dizzy.

Another librarian! There are a few of us around here. Iām not really a librarian, I am staff at an academic library, but I donāt have the degree. My position is temporary, and Iām working hard to find a permanent one in my area.

Hi everyone! Iāve been listening to Insert Credit for a long time and decided to actually interact with all the amazing people in this community. So stoked to see that the game club this month is Attack of the Friday Monsters!
My name is Mitch and I have loved playing and discussing games my whole life. Iām a huge JRPG, Dreamcast and SNES fan. I also have super fond memories of late 90s/early 2000s PC gaming before I fell off that. But if you specifically want to talk about U.N.
