I get it: it's called Yakuza 0 cause neither protagonist is a yakuza anymore. They both went from yakuza to zero real fast!
@âbeetsâ#p48132 Thanks for the write-up! I loved the demo, but with Animal Crossing DLC, Dungeon Encounters and SMT V all coming out around the same time, Voice of Cards inadvertently got⌠shuffled to the bottom of the deck.
I still want to check it out someday, though! Everything you've said about it here sounds appealing to me.
Bought YS VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana on sale for Switch the other week and it feels like one of those really solid PS2 games (never had one) youâd play at your friendâs house as a child. The default difficulty feels very well tuned for someone new to the series.
Just as the combat started to wear thin I unlocked the edgy gunblade guy, which in turn introduced the party composition aspect to the player, really like the gradual introduction of these mechanics. Hope the rest of the game lives up to its early promise.
Playing through FFVII for the first time, and I'm really impressed. The materia system is fun, I like the towns and how they juxtapose with the danky gloomy grossness of Midgar, and how it balances the goofy light hearted parts with the bleak, doom and gloom stuff.
It might be from years of over exposure, but I think Cloud and Sephiroth are pretty boring... Their motives are interesting enough, but the actual characters are just kinda... dull.
The rest of the cast is a lot of fun, on the other hand.
### **GOD HAND**
I am really into this exhibition style long play from that one GOD HAND guru that @Syzygy once posted somewhere.
Mild spoilers of moves and costumes and such that aren't available without NG+ are in the video, aside from it just being a full playthrough of the game.
It's not a perfect damageless run or a Kick Me Sign run or a speedrun or anything like that. If anything it's kind of showoffy, but in a good way that is just lots of fun to watch. If you're trying to get through the game there is a lot of good play decisions being made too. They're purposefully using a variety of techniques too.
There is a lot to learn about **GOD HAND** from watching this!

Oh I was wrong, this is not from miek kobe, my mistake!
Having a lot of fun in Forza Horizon 5.
I'm pretty much able to turn off my brain/ears for any dialogue, which is necessary.
The game developers must have been in the same 7th grade Spanish class as Cyberpunk devs. Everybody is an amigo, a jefe, or a pendejo.
I think they should have had all dialogue in Spanish at an approachable pace, and people would subconsciously learn things like left, right, car, barn find, superstar.
Having enjoyed all the Forza Horizons, I did have some anticipation about what the location would be and enjoyed reading speculation threads. I have to laugh at all the redditors that were vehement about the next game being in Japan. They spoke like that was the only country left that it could be. I'm sure they wouldn't have guessed Mexico. I wasn't convinced at first but now that I've seen the variety of landscapes, I think it's pretty good. It's too bad that any reverence for the culture is kind of dampened by the hellofellowkids writing. #squadgoals

unpopular opinion but Dragon Quest 11 is good
@âfridgeboyâ#p48948 Love Dragon Quest 11! Got any favourite characters so far?
I started playing Dragon Quest 6 on the DS recently and am having a very good time with the chill pacing and the more surreal then usual setting. Haven't met many of the characters yet but I love Hassan, he's got a lot of heart! I can't really enjoy the music but I've had a lot of fun turning up the sound effects and listening to some city pop. Tatsuro Yamashita and JRPG fireworks, what a combination!
6 is real under-appreciated imo, I think you're right about the odd dreamy/hazy quality. Beautiful to look at on the super famicom too
@âa pagan sketch of Jesusâ#p48985 Iâd love to check out the super famicon version once Iâm done with this one, it looks great! So far the hoping between different parts of the world has been really interesting, it feels like the links awakening of dragon quest
@ânolimitsquestingâ#p48957 I really love the whole party. Theyâre such a great group of buds and so fun to hang out with. And Iâm a cynical jaded gremlin so itâs been years and years since a game made me feel that way. I actually had convinced myself no JRPG could ever make me feel that way again!
TLDR Sylvando
@âfridgeboyâ#p48998 Sylvando rules!! Yeah there really isnât anyone in the party I donât love, but I do wish Erik was my boyfriend lol. It's a wonderful experience, the temptation to play it again from the start is always there
@ânolimitsquestingâ#p49071 Erik is my least favorite exclusively because of the voice line
"Another one bites da dust"
which is so irritatingly performed that I often will remove him from my party before the end of a battle just so that he can't possibly say it
THAT'S HOW NIT PICKY YOU HAVE TO BE ABOUT THIS GAME
