Came here to say this and not surprised to see it already here. This one is particularly hilarious to me because so much of it is completely mystifying.
So, ok, I do know Record of Lodoss War is a series of fantasy novels that became a manga. And, ok, it’s a bit of a nice creative touch to frame a novel as being something of a historical document. Let’s just set aside having to reckon with the idea that an interactive videogame is a record of anything.
Things are already shaky before that but they go completely off the rails with Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth. Is Deedlit someone’s name? What are they doing in Wonder Labyrinth? What’s Wonder Labyrinth? What makes a Labyrinth into a Wonder Labyrinth?
