Not any of the others ones, just X4
WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOORRRRRR is at least as funny as Dr. Wawy
MegaMan series ranking:
- MegaMan Legends
- MegaMan Legends 2
- MegaMan Zero/ZX Legacy Collection
- MegaMan Battle Network Legacy Collection
- MegaMan X Legacy Collection
- MegaMan Legacy Collection
Capcom (and Digital Eclipse and M2) really does a great retro collection. So where’s the Legends Legacy Collection, huh?! They can bundle in Misadventures of Tron Bonne and that weird phone game, and, and… well… oh well.
I’m sold, gonna start storing the house tape measure in my handbag from now on.
Also the panel’s high ranking of Megaman Legends 2 seems more like they ranked the game it was supposed to be and not what the game actually was, and I would even go further to say that it’s not bad in an interesting way, it’s really a lot more like a game that needed a lot more time, effort, resources, worthwhile ideas, and/or structure. It completely pales in comparison to the first game in so many ways. I can’t remember if I was this hard on it in the Monthly Game Club thread but that’s how I feel in retrospect, anyway.
I straight up didn’t play it and agreed based on how it looks!
Interesting - I have a different ranking for the only two series here that I have played enough of to have an opinion on: metal gear and doom.
I personally think it is bonkers to put metal gear 5 above 4, and my series ranking goes: 3, 2, 1, 4, 5.
For the dooms:
- Doom
- Doom (2016)
- Doom 2
- Doom 3
- Doom Eternal
It is interesting (to me) to see how I clearly value different things here, resulting in different overall rankings.
Oh. I guess I also have vaguely enough experience with the games to have a Fallout series ranking, but after:
- New Vegas
- Fallout
- Fallout 2
…I really don’t care for any of the others at all. So I guess I at least partially agree with the hosts here.
Metal Gear Solid 4 is a bad game that kicks ass, whereas Metal Gear Solid 5 is a good game that sucks
…and I find the former type so much more interesting than the latter
Looking forward to the MGS Master Collection vol. 2 so we can get a groundswell of new MGS4 players who will loudly proclaim the game rocks and will change this conversation that it’s “bad” and “for nincompoops”
Metal Gear Solid 4 is a … game that kicks ass, whereas Metal Gear Solid 5 is a good game …
I know this is a me problem, but I do kind of hate how often Walgreens (and yes Tim, Duane Reed) is mentioned in a positive light.
I worked for Walgreens for over a decade, and they are a terrible company. They treat their employees badly, understaff to the point of endangering patient safety, and their COVID response was absolutely appalling (the local bank had sneeze guards months earlier, and when we did get them, they were only about a foot wide!)
In short, I’m glad Brandon has chips he likes, but screw Walgreens.
Every big company sucks. walgreens is better than wal mart and the ones in the bay area got sneeze guards basically right away, and unlike CVS they don’t tend to move in right next to a local pharmacy to put it out of business. I mention safeway pretty often too and they’re pretty bad outside of the bay area, I have heard! But you know, you get what you get with these stores and have to make intelligent choices and walgreens is (based on my research!) better than all the other options I’ve got.
but maybe I’m in a weird spot - I do have high standards for everyone but I also choose to patronize the type of business I want to succeed - I could get most of what I get from Walgreens on amazon, for example. I worked at Rasputin Records for several years and they cut hours so they wouldn’t have to pay people for lunch breaks. The owner is a creep that all the managers keepp at arms length and he just closes stores when he feels like it based on vibes. But it is also one of the three surviving large record shops in the area so I still go there.
I dunno. It’s a sliding scale here and currently I would say the walgreens in my area are better than a lot of other options. (also you don’t see CVS or any other pharmacy for that matter trying to open up in east oakland)
Ironically, for pharmacists, Wal-Mart is generally thought to be a better employer than Walgreens or CVS.
And as I said, I know it’s a me problem. I’m not expecting to be featured on the next episode of “Brandon Applogizes”.
It would be funny to put Red Ash at the top of the mega man ranking
I am disappointed Street Fighter Alpha series was excluded from the rankings… that’s just as mainline as the numbered entries!
agreed. I thought jaffe was joking at first, but no! should’ve stuck to your guns there brandon, the alphas rule.
My argument is… technically, it’s Street Fighter Zero, so it’s still a numbered entry
The reason I backed down is because the alphas were created to get more life out of the cps2 not because they were ready to make a new numbered street fighter. It succeeded so they made more, but ex2 and ex3 have numbers too, so it kinda gets into the weeds. I got to say which one was my favorite anyway!!
