I like Violence Island, but probably not enough to make an iTunes account.

I’m surrounded by drive-thru liquor stores. We call them “drive-thru liquor stores”.

If I was making an esports based movie in the Air Bud franchise, I would make it about Bloody Roar and call it Air Buddy Roar.

Or Air Bud: Tekken The Dog For A Walk.

Thank you Esper for not kowtowing to Jaffe and unnecessarily dunking on Brandon with a flushing sound effect. #BrandonIsRight

Seconding the recommendation for The Summer Hikaru Died. Started reading it last year and immediately fell in love with it. Definitely helped me taper off of the high from the finale for Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction. The tension from all sides in it is very good, and the art is great. I love that they all have a little country accent.

Oh I meant to say in the ep that I find the “country accent” writing super distracting and actually quite dislike it!! Plus I had originally read a fan translation which didn’t do that so it was even more jarring. I feel like we really need something other than just “southern” and “regular” when it comes to representing dialects in japanese media but that’d probably require people to be paid a lot more (which would be good but will never happen).

Hot take: the Famitsu mascot is an ugly Bubsy wannabe and I would like the Famitsu covers a lot more without him.
-signed, guy with no sentimental attachment to Famitsu and who saw Bubsy first, not that Bubsy ever seemed cool

Violence island can’t end because if the podcasts keeps going for 5 more years we could have a tournament of ultra champions with the the winers of each season

I did not want to get into it because I was tired but I also think the famitsu mascot is very ugly and I don’t find the artist to be to my taste at all.

I had to look up drive-thru liquor store, because I could not believe that’s a real thing.

Also, Violence Island YES!

Too tired to argue with Tim is probably everyone’s default state.

Frank discovered Ajvar at almost exactly the same time I did (this past week) except cento seems like bottom of the barrel stuff (no offense, I’m sure its good)

Also as far as accents go, growing up saying Grinder silos me where I belong
