Can Brandon use 4 credits to make Ash watch DS9?
Iâd love an entire episode of the panel talking Trek.
Iâll allow it.
What did i do to you specifically for you to wish this fate upon me??
/s
I honestly wouldnât mind. I never watched any of those sci-fi shows with the sole exception of The Expanse.
To wish upon you one of the greatest media experiences ever created? I guess you havenât done anything, but you can thank me later.
just here to note I listened to this episode on an xbox
(Also recomend AirServer for xbox to stream audio to the console and be able to use REAL podcast apps besides spotify)
hahaha, I was wondering what those mixes were. divine work, @esper
also, if anyone pops into the English version of Shangri-La Frontier, Iâm in that show for a bit â watched most of the first season, and agree that it is pretty solid. itâs almost kind of weird (but very nice) to see shows nowadays that deal with video games and arenât completely cringe or fully out of touch about it (magical âVRâ game world aside, but thatâs more of a suspension of disbelief sort of allowance). this is one of a handful of shows/manga recently where you can tell that the writers are legit deeply into games, the first solid wave of creators that came up on this stuff as a big part of their media diet â Delicious In Dungeon and The Unwanted Undead Adventurer really play by some DRPG/dungeon crawler rules, and this one is big on MMO stuff, down to the minutia, while still being pretty fun.
anyway, I play the dev companyâs PR exec, Tsukuyogi (thank you twitter user for capturing the clip here). curious that we saw the dev team for the first time in late season one, but they have yet to appear again so far â maybe weâll pop back in later this season, but thatâs a neat episode
I would say itâs an anime that engages with games successfully as a fan - but it has a very fan-style knowledge of games and how theyâre made, which is what (I think) I referenced in the show. (also, congrats for being in it)
I think splash damage leading to rocket jumping counts as an accident that led to a game mechanic.
I cheered at my TV when Frieren casually depicted a 2D auto map spell. So I guess Iâm obligated to give Shangri-la Frontier a look.
for sure, that was one reason I was curious if theyâd expand on those characters (other than getting paid) â when you do see the studio, itâs this giant empty building with a PR exec, an assistant, and two developersâŠfor what is basically the WoW of this world. but from the player-side perspective, itâs neat to see more recent TV shows progress from people flinging around MadCatz PS3 controllers with bleep-bloop stock sounds
the Ash Parrish arc of the show makes me so happy :')
this audio magazine has been my comfort show for years now ~ going through some stuff now⊠hearing the gang + Ash has been the highlight of some tough weeks <3
Been listening for a year now and just wanted to sign up and say really enjoying Ash as a full time panelist. Keep up the great work everyone and thanks for doing the show.
got way behind on the pod so iâm still catching up, but as someone who loves these games and these movies, The Green Knight and The Northman are 100% Soulslikes.
this isnât my list but iâm definitely the one who suggested adding The Northman lol
hoooly shit this is so up my alley
someone commented âPREY SLAUGHTEREDâ on the Brotherhood of the Wolf letterboxd and i was instantly craving a Bloodborne equivalent list
