I accidentally said HuneX was a join operation between Hudson and NEC - I meant Human, not Hudson, of course!! Blorf. Anyway please enjoy us talking about a bunch of relatively obscure things and then saying “maybe next time we should talk about some obscure games,” the slight irony of which I realized after the fact.
I loved this episode. It’s great to just hear two guys talk passionately about their extremely niche interests. I really enjoyed the one in Japan too, but this one is much more listenable due to not being in public.
unfortunately I should say, the youtube edition for this episode is going to be delayed at least a week, as I am out of town until the end of the month. I WILL put a video together and the conversation has Brandon and John showing off the physical games, but given the subject matter, i’m gonna be leaning on screenshots for a lot of this.
a little inside baseball: almost every clip of gameplay you see on the youtube edition is Creative Commons licensed, meaning i can use and alter it freely so long as I provide credit to the original uploaded. the only exception is officially released trailers, or footage I record myself from an emulator.
so, this one is going to be REAL tough, because not only do I have to find footage of Chiki Chiki Boys, it either has to be specifically released under a Creative Commons license, or recorded by me.
i want this to be a Really Good Video because obviously there’s a lot of wild stuff people haven’t seen, but it’s gonna be a tough one!! so, my advice, go ahead and check out the audio version this week if you’re a regular youtube viewer. apologies for the interruption in signal, and thanks for understanding.
Oh, I reckon there’s someone out there who is a realer deal than I!! I don’t for example have a complete original copy of Sapphire (just a boot and the psp version!)
