Itās EVO weekend and Iāve got the mad hype. I sat down to watch a match or two at lunch and caught @pattheflip winning in his CvS2 bracket! In Street Fighter 6 I saw Luffy playing with his PS1 controller! I saw PR Balrog just absolutely murder his opponent! It's madness!
Most importantly I completely choked on this purchase opportunity:

Anyone curious, yeah it's to hide your hands so we can't glance over and see your inputs. Often at frame disadvantage, players can see if you're mashing in case the opponent drops block string/combo. Knowing this, players can intentionally stop inputting and let the opponent whiff whatever is being mashed for big counter damage. There's also players that listen for input mashing and opponents will have a 'dead' button on the stick to trick opponents into (for example) jumping if they hear a fireball being entered. Joystick sounds are distinct, pads being compact and more quiet don't have the noise disadvantage.
Yeah, at tournament any little advantage that can be taken will be taken. Even if it's there to just lift a mental block.

Woke up a couple days ago with this stuck in my head hasn't left yet. Been like 10 years since I thought about it.
I was very dishearted to learn in recent years that Rufus seems to be a genuinely unpopular and disliked character, which sucks because every day I dream he returns as DLC someday. I unironically think that guy rocks and is cool because he's such a confident dude but like in an endearing way, not a cocky way.
