just putting this out there: i don‘t know how many people here are actively playing fighting games, but i think y’all could have some real fun with like, a rotating fightcade monthly bracket and a small stream or something. i personally don't have the time or availability to set this up myself but if folks are interested i could easily take a small group of people and teach them how to run something if needed.
you basically just need some private comms channels (discord works great for this), someone to take point on deciding on when a thing is going to happen and which game you're going to play, a bracket admin to set up the challonge/startgg/whatever and call matches as needed, and someone to stream it and commentate if you want the rest of the community to be able to watch along.

I played injustice this morning with an 18 year old who called it a “pvp” game instead of a fighting game.

I barely played XIII but usually would go for Kim / Takuma / Terry / King / K’ (the last three are interchangeable).
@“◉◉maru”#p141491 Word, yeah I‘ve dabbled in a lot of the KOF games and I almost always get Terry involved in my team because he’s cool and well-rounded. He seems to be missing his power dunk in XIII which is a little sad for me because I love that move.
So far I'm primarily running a basic baby boy shoto squad of Terry, Kyo, and Ryo, though occasionally when playing online I'll switch one out for a random pick in hopes that match unfamiliarity might work in my favor.
