Back in the day I was a boy scout and we had 2 âpatrolsâ in our âtroopâ. The larger troop was assigned a number (I think ours was like 560 or something) and the patrols got to pick their name. I suggested the Treefrogs and the group chose that. So for one year I was a proud Treefrog.
@âââmaruâ#p148737 this is basically almost Divekick, I realize. Intriguing!

Youâll have to forgive me, as this isnât from a game - however there's a New Frog:
https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2024/jan/25/tiny-frog-lives-whole-life-inside-one-plant-brazilian-mountain-aoe
>
What had caught my eye were the bromeliad plants, which look like the top of a giant pineapple. Each plant can hold up to 2 litres of water, and inside there is so much happening. Larvae, beetles, all kinds of invertebrate live in there â itâs a whole ecosystem in a tiny space. The central cup holds loads of rainwater, and I thought there could be some frogs using them.
>
Sure enough I was right. And this led me to discover a new species of frog, which I have committed my life to protecting.
>
More frog news:
>
An âodorousâ pregnant creature perched atop a branch, keeping herself dry from the slow-moving stream beneath her. Little did she know she was being watched â and she was soon to be discovered as a new species.
>
Scientists were exploring the Damingshan National Nature Reserve in China in April 2022, searching for specimens of âodorous frogs.â Thatâs when they spotted the pregnant creature â and four others just like her â next to a stream in an evergreen forest.
