There are so many different game Jams out there. Let's highlight some cool ones for people who might want to participate, or just have a look!

Too late for this year but every January thereās a jam where people make games using material which has newly entered the public domain. Iāve never entered or played any of the games but there are prizes!

Oh, thatās an intriguing premise!
I havenāt really participated in any game jams for a few years cause when I have the energy I tend to put it in some of my long term projects (and also those jams that interest me topically often seem to have a tendency to allow genAI, which is kinda icky).
I just wrapped up my entry in the āI, REBELā game jam hosted by Atari/Jeff Minter. A bit of an odd one as you had to pre-apply and be accepted/approved to take part. I think mostly because they are giving away prizes so needed a way to keep numbers manageable.
Hereās my entry:
HERD NERD
You control a smiley face and have to herd sheep. You must use your skill to manoeuvre the flock and then quickly jump on the backs of all the sheep to score as many points as possible! Lots of techniques and hidden depth to the gameplay. Requires analog stick.
Looks awesome! You may want to post this in Show me things you made. as well
