I know, I need to just do it. I’ve spent this year reading more comics and chasing other things instead and I should just do it.
I bought Justice League Heroes, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, and X-Men Legends but nothing scratched the itch. I chased other third-person shooters like Lost Planet and then ended up back in DC Universe Online. It’s time.
Yes, it’s Rocksteady. From what I’ve watched, it seems like the game becomes repetitive quickly with little variety to missions outside of things like “Oh, those bad guys can only be defeated with ice ammo.” I’ve seen more than enough sentiment that just playing it straight through over a weekend was enough for most people. The end/post-game grind is where it maybe sours if you aren’t into that.
Very jealous of whoever is able to utilize that yoke and control system. Really dope opportunity you’re giving someone there. Flight sim is one of those games I’ve always loved the idea of. I just don’t have the space or the desire to really steep myself in that simulation to make diving in worth it.
I’m thinking of felvidek or slitterhead. Though Sorry We’re Closed just released and I think it is a must buy for me.
battletech is way too vibes-adjacent to Warhammer 40k for me to feel comfortable enjoying as much as I do… but that new mechwarrior game looks real good ><
Thinking about getting the new Monkey Ball game now that it’s cheap. Is it good, if I didn’t like Banana Blitz? The Monkey Ball games seem like my kind of thing, but Banana Blitz had one of the worst in-game cameras I can recall since like PS2 times.
The Lost Crown (TLC) was a gem. The game has the smoothest 2d movement I’ve ever experienced. The platforming challenges feel acrobatic in a special way.
It’s an absolute shame what happened to the team that made it.
I haven’t played it in probably 15 years but I remember really enjoying it, even though it was pretty grind-heavy. And you’re absolutely right, the art is a real high point, especially in the character sprites.
This is the first I’ve heard of this game and I feel like that Vince McMahon leaning back in his chair meme. An Atlus game, Soejima art, story driven tactical game, PS2. I think I’ll try and grab a copy myself.
Lately I’ve been kinda wanting to get my MiSTer/PVM setup back on my desk to play some Resident Evil Survivor. That game kinda sucks but there’s something to it for me. Not sure what it is.
Thinking about playing Star Wars Outlaws after what @Jaffe had to say about it… The base game is just about the right sale price on Steam for me.
I thought about springing for the Gold Edition but that bad boy’s over $100 CAD. This review almost swayed me towards the DLC too but I think I can wait.
I bought Atelier Ryza some time ago after being curious for a long time about what’s so exciting about an RPG about crafting. On our trip to Japan, I got a Ryza figure from a claw machine game and my partner said now that I have her, I need to play the game.
I played it a little but never got far. I felt lost on where to go and the layout/map were kind of confusing.
