I judged the situation and attempted to find the least bothersome outcome for myself. Now that this is now the second treat related scuffle I have had with this woman, I see that I will need to tread carefully going forward. I’ll probably just end up ignoring it again the next time it comes up though
She either really likes you or really hates you
What’s special about Crumbl cookies, now that I know you all aren’t just making the same typo?
They’re huge and I guess the flavors can be interesting. They’re not that great.
I had never heard of them! Now I’ve heard of them.
Real talk though: I can sympathize with missing out on a cookie!
Yeah that’s some behavior that is fully lacking in hinges - she’s ready to be an Olympic jumper with the leaps required to make her getting a cookie your responsibility
She wants to date Garrett.exe
On Monday I was going to the grocery store and I said this phrase to myself “I like going to the grocery store because I see all the real people” and then I stepped inside and immediately saw a super tall dude who was dressed like Dick Tracy in a big yellow suit
Is Dick Tracy making a comeback??
i was cleaning my room yesterday and there was a lot of change strewn about on my floor… i counted it and it came out to 105.50. i feel like a very silly person
for context this is more money than i have in my bank acct rn lol
not necessarily goofy, but it is my life. i’m visiting my bff in dallas and we saw a bunch of things yesterday related to the kennedy assassination.
here you can see the grassy knoll and book depository, the X is where jfk died.
the coolest place was the oswald boarding museum. it’s the boarding house oswald was staying at that time in dallas. it’s run by the granddaughter of the woman who owned the house, so she knew oswald as a little girl. she kept the house as it was back then and spoke for a while about knowing oswald, what living through that weekend was like, as well as what she thinks really happened. a great piece of living history for a jfk head like myself.
I’m on more travel adventures.
My hotel is next to a theme park. Tonight, to my delight, there was a fireworks show. The employee at the desk had asked me if I had any preferences for a room, and I responded with a simple, “No.” She gave me the suite at the highest level, in the furthest corner. That is to say, she knowingly gave me the best view.
I’ve been made aware of a disturbing development. Someone on bsky who is no more than five years younger than me calls thumb drives “zip drives.” I’d never heard this before. Chat is this real?
My first usb flash drive in the early 2000s was a 64mb translucent purple job that said “jumpdrive” on it. It was the only one I had for years, and I still sometimes refer to usb flash drives as “jump drives”.
I’ve heard that term used before—maybe not in a while but it was definitely one of the names for these things.
Never once have I ever heard them called Zip drives! Zip drives are (or were) the only Zip drives as far as I’ve ever heard.
I still have my first flash drive! If I can find it I’ll post an image, but it was also very small capacity (edited to be clear because it’s actually very large in physical size) (and gifted to me by a friend who is one of those Old Timey Mac Guys and was a very early adopter of everything).
I was wondering where jumpdrive came from. Ive heard that a bunch. I feel like ive heard zip too recently maybe because its got a nice ring to it and few people would actually have a zip. Relatedly several people at work ask me to schedule a “webex” despite us never using that software as far as i know.
Apparently “jumpdrive” is a Lexar trademark; they’re still using it!
