have you ever noticed that Nikki has this lil mole on her nose that’s almost imperceptible, but it’s there, and if you really go looking for that kind of detail it’s there? not just on her nostrils but kinda everywhere in the game?

kinda lately going on the kind of thing that @rejj posted cuz I don’t want to be calf deep in croaker mud with my best shoes on. so there’s a bit of pokemon trainer/Akira toriyama vibes with what I’m doing lately. a week ago I was full flowing goddess dress tho so who knows

It’s SO GOOD! Worth the wait, only…this is my first true blue gacha game that I’ve played seriously (p2w games like Marvel Snap/Candy Crush nonwithstanding) and I hate the lessons its teaching me about money management. I’m also getting gobsmacked seeing folks post their fits on the infinity nikki subreddit and seeing just how much $$$ they have to spend to get the outfits they’re putting on display.
The money mechanics in these kinds of games are absolutely foul.

paying for outfits is diabolical but im seriously eyeing up the purchaseable bicycle you can summon where ever- that’s a time saver !
i’ve never really ridden the bike because it’s such a pita to control (and i like walking everywhere anyway)
but yea that x3 stellarite bundle is similarly diabolical. i want both it and i’m gonna buy the battle pass. That’s $30 off the rip on top of all the dollars i spent at the end of the last event because i needed JUST ONE MORE piece of the gliding outfit and I had exhausted my supply of diamonds bc i generally don’t care about the limited time banners.
And then I see folks that have limited time outfits in the second and third and fourth colorways and now that i understand the mechanics and the currency and all that a little bitter i stare in shock like ‘how much did you spend to get this???’

the worst thing about the bike for me is having to go and find one of the bike rental places and then they say something like “we’ll take care to retrive your previously rented bike” and it feels so backhanded and rude like you don’t charge me to return it and there arent enough stalls so why should I even bring it back to you??
but yes im debating getting the season pass and stellarite you’re mentioning cause I’ve already spent so much time playing they deserve a tip and it’s really a great deal I would be losing money NOT getting it and-

That’s what makes it so pernicious. The game is set up to take advantage of our natural desire to save money or have our money work for us which feels weird applied to a video game.

ok, listen, I love this game so much buuuuut there is some very very AI shit going on within the newest update. that sucks for the zillion reasons it obviously does, and but also there are some real good voice actors doing things in the game (i LOVE what momo is doing in the english dub)… and it sucks hearing the very real very good actors going face to face with the flat robot nothing of the AI charcters
… i dunno. i was playing for a while and then it was like, i hit a new quest marker and suddenly all the words the npcs said were just skiding over my scalp like thrift store teflon

i picked this clip to isolate a specific segment but there is a lot of cumulative weirdness that gets bad on top
Is that only on the english dub? Because there is an ongoing strike of EN VA from some compnaies that has affected other games (ZZZ and Genshin had many main quests where there is no voice lines because of that) so maybe they choose to give them a voice instead of going silent?
i can’t lock in on it being AI but when I played this quest I just couldn’t stop obsessing over how she’s looking for someone’s ancestor from 800 years ago named Mark and she just goes up to random folks asking and they immediately say “i do have an 800 year old ancestor named Mark how did you know”
I really do wish the voice cast information was available anywhere online!!
