when the forum gets that banner at the top with a warning about “extreme load”, what does that refer to?*

*don’t say it’s about me, my posts, my “body type”, etc

I know it’s not “” to be posting too seriously in this thread, but I suspect it’s your connection being rate-limited by the the front end. I’ve hit it when opening several tabs off the topic list in rapid succession. I’m also aware I’m not cool to begin with. :sunglasses:

Who or what is the bidet of video games?

Bidet is superior technology but most American’s are too American to have one, plus they cost a little more. So the xbox elite controller is the bidet of video games.

MadCatz ps2 controllers are the flushable wipes you aren’t supposed to flush but people do of video games

Edit: I have a bidet attachment for my toilet and like it

What is the “I’ve gone to a new park and they have a splash pad but I brought no swimsuit for the kids, so do I just let them go in their underwear or have to tell them that daddy has been a fool” of video games?

what is the “going to the library, seeing a sign at the door to the reading room that says ‘no eating or drinking’, then right next to it seeing another sign that says ‘clear beverages only’, then gazing in and seeing every single person in the reading room has a lidless cup of coffee from the coffee machine that’s located right next to the ‘no eating or drinking’ sign” of video games?

Not enthused with either of those answers if I’m being honest

I think it’s Xbox saying how much it values critical acclaim and variety in its library while laying-off all of Tango Gameworks.

I suppose if we went about identifying majorly embarrassing contradictions in gaming, we’d be here a long time

Are people who buy all their games on GOG the doomsday preppers of video games?

old news to anyone who played the game in 2018 but because I’m playing it now, for me this calls to mind Red Dead Redemption 2’s claims to “realism”: on one hand you have the store catalogues, the hair growth, and the famous shrinking horse balls, on the other hand I don’t think they consulted a doctor when writing the scene where Arthur gets beaten unconscious, shot, and hung upside down for hours (days?); then, fading in and out of consciousness, still upside down, he’s able to pendulum-swing himself toward a nail file on a table which he has enough coordination to grab and enough strength to use to file through shackles on his ankles, cauterize his chest wound, kill at least one of his captors, and ride away on a horse

I have a new, better-informed answer to this. I live in a very humid city and my hair gets frizzy easy as well as, especially since colouring it, tangled and damaged. I’m a big hair baby and didn’t know what was missing—I’m also a weirdo primitivist-minimalist apparently who doesn’t like to use a lot of products (but also I have fine hair and it’s easy to weight it down) but the intense frizz I was dealing with during a recent heatwave made me break down and get a silicone-based leave-in spray that’s impressed me a lot so far.

So I think the video game equivalent of this is getting a handheld specifically for playing ROMs, and these are the criteria I think they share:

  • plenty of options available
  • potentially frustrating to find the right one to suit your needs
  • learning curve to set up and use
  • something you didn’t know you needed until you saw what it could offer you

Are you looking for the feel of oem hardware and are up to learning how to hack a Switch, Vita, 3DS or PSP? Do you prefer a bespoke solution such as with the Miyoos, Retroid or something from GPD? Do you want to brute force your emulation with a Steam Deck? Or would you rather go FPGA like with the Analogue Pocket or those FunnyPlaying kits?

It’s like this with a leave-ins I assume lol. They all may be for keeping the hair moisturized and protected but everyone’s hair varies by coarseness, curliness porosity, treated or untreated etc. so you have to find the right one for your hair.
